NTPM hands QLD captaincy to Homer Jnr
By Darren Cartwright - The Courier Mail

Two-time Allies premiership player NICK THE PIE MAN has handed the captaincy of the Queensland State of Origin team to Allies teammate Homer Jnr.

The star batsman, who was the vice captain of the victorious Queensland side last year, said it was only fair that Homer Jnr should lead the side.

"He was the skipper last year and led us to glory," said NICK.

"It is only fair, he should have the right to defend the crown as skipper and I didn't think twice about it.

"To be honest it was terrible decision to begin with. I was incredibly flattered, don't get me wrong, but it should have always been Homer and I can't understand the reasoning behind it."

Like last year when Queensland took out the State of Origin, Homer Jrn will be skipper with NICK THE PIE MAN as vice captain.

"I am looking forward to it, and I think we have the team to take it out again," he said.

Homer confirms captaincy switch
Nick Pyman

Allies All-Rounder, Homer Jnr, has confirmed the announcement from Nick the Pie Man that the Queensland leadership structure will be the same that took them to premiership glory last season.

"Look, Nicko has the best credentials beside me, and I don't begrudge him any opportunities, but we had a few cold ales the other night and hatched a plan on how to take out this competition again, and we eventually decided that reverting to last year's structure was the best bet".

When asked if he had anything to say about the selection process, Homer was seen quickly leaving with Queensland officials covering his mouth and the team doctor injecting a tranquiliser into his arm

Hey Hoju, if you need a batsman at number 3, look no further than that box outside. You'll find me there. Here's my card.

Haven't you got enough non-Qlders?
He wants to play, so don't blaze me down for showing initiative to get him a game. We are looking at strengthening key areas of our team and feel that he offers us a good balance.

Get lost. Iceman is a NSWelshman through and through. Some stupid selection decisions by whoever selected the squads isnt going to let you have him.

Maybe because he didnt post in the thread to show he was available:confused:
To be fair mate, i posted in the original thread by Alkaline and there wasnt even a NSW side listed, hence i asked why there was no NSW team to which there was no response.... a day later theres about 5 SOO threads with no way of knowing which thread was for what

I did eventually post saying i wanted to play but i think the fact that i responded to the first SOO thread asking about a NSW team shows that i was available and wanted to play
