NTPM hands QLD captaincy to Homer Jnr
By Darren Cartwright - The Courier Mail
Two-time Allies premiership player NICK THE PIE MAN has handed the captaincy of the Queensland State of Origin team to Allies teammate Homer Jnr.
The star batsman, who was the vice captain of the victorious Queensland side last year, said it was only fair that Homer Jnr should lead the side.
"He was the skipper last year and led us to glory," said NICK.
"It is only fair, he should have the right to defend the crown as skipper and I didn't think twice about it.
"To be honest it was terrible decision to begin with. I was incredibly flattered, don't get me wrong, but it should have always been Homer and I can't understand the reasoning behind it."
Like last year when Queensland took out the State of Origin, Homer Jrn will be skipper with NICK THE PIE MAN as vice captain.
"I am looking forward to it, and I think we have the team to take it out again," he said.
