has anything changed since the Craigy days?

Lets not be ashamed to look at Port and do what they did - are doing to fix our club

Keep your ear to the ground this week, Faith. Would be very keen to hear what is being said behind close doors.

Nothing will change and if it does, they will just replace like fir like as they did with the coach.

Sanderson is just a younger version of Craig and who ever replaces Trigg - will offer the same insipid philosophy.

We won't have a major overhaul as it will just roll over and over.

They don't care about the fans, why would they. We are just sheep who follow the rest. Just like crossing that bridge - everyone just shuffles across.

We are a gutless, insipid, poorly managed club with zero confidence to try and do something different and really nothing has changed over the past 15 ****ing years. It's bullshit.

Probably the worst effort in team history.
Its a top 5 for me.

1995 vs Fitzroy is the worst I've ever seen. This isn't far away though

I am ******* furious. This was predictable and just dumb luck that it has not happened before now. WTF is going on with this team? The time has come for questions and answers. Is it the list? Is it the coaching staff? Or what? Personally I quite like the look of our list so I lay the blame for this train wreck fair and square on our coaching team. The midfield is adequate but performing below par. We have ABSOLUTELY NO ******* METHOD WHEN WE GO FORWARD. It is pot luck. The back line muddles along but don't give us the rebound we should expect. As for Dangerfield - the Crows are flattered by Dangerfield. Without him we'd have been humiliated last week and the week before that. I don't know how he puts up with this shit and I doubt he will for much longer. I am ******* fuming.

one of the first problems. its probably time to realise we are no hawthorn or geelong.

That was the absolute pits. Even I could see we played them like the Melbourne of old when we should have imagined them to be Sydney. That was the ugliest game of football I've seen in many years. Our performance was poor - no make that woeful - no getting away from that - but I coaches like Roos and Lyons need stringing up for turning our beloved game into a congested ugly defensive mess.

It does seem that significant problems still exist down at the club.
I've been saying that since 2010. Obviously we all felt 2012 was the start of a new era. Been downhill again since then.
The events of the 2009 offseason seem to have impacted us severely.

Really feels like a massive cleanout of the club is required to impact some significant change.

I almost wonder how Craigy would have gone with different administration.

What was the pre match entertainment?

Didn't someone here say something about a Nana Mouskouri lookalike singing the club song before the game? Anyway, it all sounded about as lame as the big pre-match entertainment before the Sydney game.

They had some kids walk around with the flag and there was a guy in a cow costume mooing. Then the Crows came out and did a really bad impersation of a footy team.
I'm still at the oval waiting for the real game to start. Not sure why everyone left...

I spent the first half hurling abuse at the television and the second half laughing at all our **** ups.
Sounds exactly like what I did, There was some passages of play in the second half where you could have put Benny Hill music in the background just to make it even more amusing!

I'm kind of glad I missed out going today. By the sound of it, the pre-match entertainment was again a bit mind numbing/embarrassing.
I missed the pre-match "entertainment" & pity I didn't miss the entire 1st half! A good game to miss! Kym's last 3 games have been this, Sydney & Hawks smashings, so it's been a while since he has seen a decent Crows performance.

I've actually lost my joy in football. Completely. My level of investment was 4 x Gold memberships (one from when I was 5 years old at inception, one for my wife who doesn't even follow us and one for a mate who rarely can go) which continued when I moved interstate even though I knew I'd be attending a maximum of 2 games a year. Add to that the fact I purchased a guernsey each year (up to the abomination of a new logo) simply to give the club funds. I used to attend most Vic away games too (when I was still a native).

That transitioned to 0 merchandise purchased upon changing to the logo just because velociraptor. It then evolved to cancelling all memberships with a letter to the club after the Tippett saga and a whole pile of anger. Fast forward to today and honestly this is terrible but I actually didn't care. I wasn't shocked nor outraged. I watched on not in disbelief but moreso with a sense of inevitability. The worst part? This isn't even rock bottom (not even close) The boys club will ride this out because they're huge fish in a miniscule pond. They control the media in SA. People in Victoria don't give a **** about us anymore so none of this matters to them. We'll just keep coasting along.

I used to thrive on banter with my mates via text/email/workplace. Now they rib me and I generally just agree with what's said because most of it is true. I copped 4 texts relating to today within 15 minutes of the game finishing and I genuinely didn't care. There was no thrill for me even when we were a goal down with a quarter to go. Footy used to be my hobby and I'd watch almost every game of the round (work/study permitting). Now I can go weeks on end without seeing anything other than what the Crows dish up. I'll always be loyal to whoever pulls on the hideous guernsey but our admin has killed what was once my life and in many ways turned it into a routine afterthought and for that I'll always hate them.

The epitome for me was watching Bernie (a man who needed a kick up the ass at times there's no denying) but who loved the club and was pushed out just so we could appear semi involved and draft a kid who rightfully should be ours anyway if we're not sanctioned. Watching him interviewed today was painful - it's pretty clear he still loves the club. His form wasn't always great, he underperformed at times but was well liked and would be perfect to play Reserves footy and made an example of if he needed to pull the finger out. Instead he finishes his career at Melbourne and effectively loses his job with us. Another victim of Tippettgate whilst the true culprits remain employed.

I'll still watch. I'll still call myself a supporter. Doesn't feel like it though. Everything's changed. **** the admin and thank god for ice hockey.

****ing brilliant.

Meh. The performance in the first 3 rounds were worse than Today's game despite the end result being more surprising. More concerned at how little scrutiny the direction of the club as a whole gets.

I wonder what craigy thinks when he looks at Sando and reflects that they sacked him for that

I'm no craigy fan but he must smile a little to himself

Craigy was a great coach, we played some amazing footy under him esp 2005, 2006, late 2009. But was let down by our poor efforts in finals, when the pressure was on we faltered, 2009 semi final was a great example. If Craig was coaching Hawthorn they would be just as unstoppable. You play so good after success, if you fail at success you struggle.

I kind of miss Neil Craig.
