Because it's a focused question, I rate it.
We can also bump it, when we inevitably select the wrong player ;)
Yep we can all laugh that we didn't pick Taranto, Ainsworth or someone else out of those 2 that ends up the better player haha

It's class versus power.
Been watching the Judd vs. O'Loughlin game.
Josh Battle, gee he moves like Ablett Sr.

Honestly it's defence vs forward. Both are classy players, good footy IQ and play on instinct.
Might be McCluggage then, we have some good defensive mids.
I need to see McCluggage smile, convinced he's a robot.

I think McCluggage is the better fit for us but think McGrath will end up a better player, instill think Taranto would be the best fit for us.
It's pretty obvious that we need more scoring from the midfield
Not sure how we can fix it up in our midfield but Parish and Zerrett have shown to be handy around goals they just don't seem to get down there enough. McCluggage always just finds a way t get forward and kick a goal he just bobs up out of knowhere a lot of the time haha

McGrath seems like a winner he will be the better player overall and will be able to slot right in and replace pig straight away aswell

Tippa and McGrath, great tackling pressure but too short to have two of in the backline?

I'm not as wedded to Clug as I once was so I'll be chuffed no matter what we do.

They're not without question marks though, McGrath's kicking leaves a bit to be desired for mine. It's not as if he can't hit water from the beach but if I'm an opposition team I certainly want him kicking it rather than running with it.

No not at all. Just because McGrath is athletically gifted it doesn't mean he doesn't know what he's doing out there. His athletic ability doesn't give him 32 possession and 6.7 clearances a game
Don't get me wrong, because I certainly think there is potential there - but 32 and 6.7 is against kids in a game that doesn't allow tagging.

All the stats under the sun have to transpose from TAC (20/20) to AFL (test) and sometimes, they just don't come together.

Same can be said for McCluggage then I don't think anyone expects him to get 30 touches and 2 goals every game. TAC stats can exaggerate a performance but they are still handy none the less. If your struggling to find the footy in TAC it mustn't be a good sign

McGrath kicked at 72% efficiency this year in the TAC Cup which is elite and higher than all the other top prospects.
For some comparison:
McCluggage 62%
Scrimshaw 61%
Ainsworth 57%
Brodie 55%
Taranto 55%

So what's he meant to do to prove that he's a good footballer then? That's the level that he plays in and he's dominating it.
