Seen as though you guys have the number 1 and 2 picks same as St Kilda in 2000, i was just interested in this scenario.

You guys get to pick the best 2 youngsters in the country right, so it doesn't matter which order you pick them in.

But do you pick the best player first because you believe he has earned the right to call himself the number 1 draft pick.

or do you pick the best player second because you don't want him to have the pressure that goes with being a number 1 draft pick (even though there is still pressure to perform as a number 2 pick but people seem to remember who the number 1 pick is much more than the number 2 pick)

or do you think that it doesn't matter either way.

Number 1

i have often wondered this myself, but i guess if you cannot handle the pressure of being the number 1 draft pick, how are you going to handle the pressure of a close grand final???

And what about the second best player. All of a sudden he has more pressure on him because he is the first draft pick.

huh?? but if he's picked at number 2 only the recruiters will know if they would've picked him at number 1 if they didn't have the number 2 pick.

HBF,

i know everyone who gets picked early will have pressure on them, but the media and public will remember the #1 pick much more than the #2 pick.

most peolpe know Drew Banfield was the number 1 pick in 92, but who who was number 2?? i'd say 8 out of 10 AFL supporters wouldn't know.
