Took some hits, something I've not seen him do thus far in his short career.

Getting better every game.

Took a massive hit in his first few minutes of AFL, before he'd even had a touch and bounced back up.

He's a skinny runt - but he doesn't shirk contests

Bump

Andrew Gaff just became the John Worsfold Medallist in his 5th season. Was All-Australian and integral to us making our 6th GF where he was arguably our best player

On the way to becoming a gun and hasn't embarrassed the fabled No.3

And ponder this - all of our number threes lost their first GF. Two of them won a premiership medal the following year. Bring on 2016

Great season from Gaff. Breakout when you consider that he past 30 touches 14 times this year after only doing it 10 times since 2011.

Has a lot to do with the size that he has put on since he started in my opinion. Was an outside running sub in 2011 now is a more hardened player who we can be comfortable in throwing in at the centre bounces.

You've done well this month with the big positive threads and bumps.

Good bf citizen is young Keys

Well done to Gaff. Even better was his speech saying he has so much more improvement to come and he's not satisfied. Also that it doesn't matter he was the best player for us in the GF when we were flogged.

A lot to like about Gaff.

Even better other midfielders are starting to pass Priddis which is what we need more of to improve.

Exactly! Priddis has his role we have just needed others to step up as well.
Now let's try to keep this from being about the great curly-haired man.

On ya Gaffy! Well deserved

Didn't know he has the longest unbroken run of games (104) among all current AFL players

Has played 110 of a possible 118 games. Missed all 8 in his first year
Had him in the second half of this year. Uber consistant. A lock for SC next year.

All hail Colonel Gaffafi

I remember the main board laughing when we got the spoon in a year Gold Coast had the first three picks. That we were going to miss out on all of Swallow, Bennell and Day, three super talents. Two of them WA boys too. Stupid West Coast, can't even tank properly! You can have your so-called priority pick at #26, like you're going to get someone good with such a shit pick anyway.

Well, Swallow is having problems with injury, Bennell is having problems with the white stuff (and now problems with wearing purple), and Day is having problems with being a footballer. And we know who pick #26 was.

Last laugh is officially had by us.

Watching gaff, it was always going to be about getting that little bit of extra size, getting those first 40-50 games into him so that he was ready to take the next step into a genuine A grader. He's done that now, and still only 23.

I remember the description of him pre-draft was "death by a thousand cuts". I think that is quite accurate, he just keeps running to provide an option, and his ball use just cuts opposition to shreds.

Well worthy of the #3. He is well on the way to becoming the best to pull on the jumper.

His second season was very good and one of most important players in 2012. But to break tags, he needs a bit os size and strength. Gaff's now got confidence in his body that he is now comfortable to throw his body into a contest to win the hard ball. The outside role is his most dangerous role but if he does well on the inside this year, it will probs push him into elite catagory.
