Hey folks, was wondering if anyone knew how many cameras are used at the ground and their placement for tv broadcast?
Have looked at AFL/Fox sites but found no info. so far.
Cheers.

I'd only be guessing, but for a standard game there probably would be
- 2 or 3 cameras on centre wing in line with the circle (one for wide shots, one for close ups another for medium type shots, all for the quick edits)
- a camera behind the goals at each end
- 2 ground level cameras in the forward pockets/half forward flanks
- 1 or 2 hand held type cameras for the bench/end of quarter shots/shots of teams entering and exiting the rooms
- 1 or 2 reverse angle cameras around centre wing
- 4 fixed cameras in goal posts at main venues (e.g. games in places like China and Townsville won't have this)
- 2 fixed cameras facing the coaches box
- 2 fixed cameras facing each interchange dugout (again may not be present at non regular venues)
- a fixed camera in the corner of each main area of the dressing room
- a camera in the commentary box (either fixed or on a tripod) for between quarters

For the major games there'd probably be extra cameras capturing super slo-mo shots, sky cam, blimb/chopper cam, perhaps cameras in light towers etc.
