StK board are in a state of sadness because their ITKs said he'd have signed a week ago 💀
You could probably assume similar here with Bergman.

The best scenario would probably be him signing a 2 year deal with St. Kilda & we revisit it when we actually have something to give as well as keeping Bergman.

Also the thought of someone with Wanganeen blood at the Camries is quite vomit inducing.

I love how we're 3-4 months out from him announcing his decision and every week we're getting new breaking updates (aka. Reporters straight up making up stuff). The AFL media is so tiresome.

Sweet baby Jeebus, I made the mistake of looking at a couple of threads in the trading board. There seem to be some crows supporters who consider themselves experts on Port's list. It's like Bay 13 in there.

Yeh I made the same mistake a few weeks ago....twisted.

That abab character is the hardest poster to hold a conversation with on this whole site. He is clearly mentally deficient.

Are people rating this guy on what they see right now or what they think he could be in the future?
He's the 2nd coming if you hadn't heard. Amazing how when we're in a race for the player they become the greatest thing since sliced bread. Meanwhile, our guns become worth a few late fourth rounders.

There are people who haven't blocked ABAB?

Every time they play a decent team they are reminded that they forgot the midfield in their rebuild and now they won't have the picks to do it.

They are destined for a long stint in the middle of the ladder unless they get really lucky at the trade/free agency table IMO.

So if we're not serious about Nas, put all the eggs into keeping Zac and Bergs.

If we do rate him, then push the angle that we're putting games into the kids (Evans, Jackson, Lorenz, Vis, Moraes, Liddy, Lord, Sinn, and slightly more experienced Burgoyne, Jones, Mead, etc), plus promising types in Whitlock, Lai, Ramm, etc learning in the Magoo's, and a new coach with a better game plan (we hope!!!), so we'll be on an upward trajectory compared to the Saints.

Add that injuries to higher level guys like Luko, Butters, JHF, Farrell, Rozee, etc this year hasn't given us the continuity of team personnel to keep good results coming, and with better luck on that front, better times are ahead for us.

If he's interested, we can say the club could offer him a mentor type role with our indigenous Academy kids. And that we are league leading in our indigenous representation in team selection (and not racist like another club in SA 🥴).

Really push the benefits of Port, as opposed to the Saints and Crows.

Port's players under 25 have a lot of upside.

  • Rozee
  • Butters
  • Horne-Francis
  • Bergman
  • Georgiades
  • Burgoyne
  • Sinn
  • Jones
  • Evans
  • Moraes
  • Berry
  • Whitlock
  • Cochrane
  • Lorenz
  • Lai
  • H.Jackson
  • Visentini

And you still have unknowns which could be anything in:
  • Liddy
  • Mackinlay
  • Ramm
  • Walsh
  • Charleson (delist material until the last few weeks)
  • Barrett

That is half the list. Develop the boys more and retain Bergman and Butters and Port could be launching themselves soon if done right.

Any chance next year's first and this year's second or am I dreaming?

Nasiah will want to play with his mates surely.

Why would you go over to the Cows when you can eat frozen yoghurt with Jase and Jason.

2025 - Nasiah
2026 - Dougie
2027 - Pilot, Rodan, Salopek, Tambe

That would be ridiculous.

Carr would not be wanting for talent.

Why would Crows also try getting Keeler with NWM when he will most likely never play unless injuries happen in that forward line. Crows management clearly just trying their hardest to put a wedge in the trade and be the 5 letter word starting with C ending with S 🤦

I can see Keeler getting more games and growth at Port with NWM but that's a trade that would be challenging unless players involved or future 1st next year and year after.
