Would Drew be on the trade table? contracted until 2028 as UFA, might get pushed out of middle and tagging if Bergs stayed on. Yes he's clearly a loyal port player and solid player & person in general. His juniors footy was Koroit footy club AKA saints red white and black.

If Ross wants players more so, and Drewy decided to do it, throw Soldo and another in or a 2nd pick & future 3rd or something for NWM and Keeler package. Or add Sinn to the deal.

Honestly be good to keep Bergs AND get NWM plus Keeler.

If we are being honest, I think Drew is expendable for the right price and in the same vein so is Farrell but he signed a contract this year so can't move him on. I think both would've got us good value and helped in a trade for NWM

Drewy is and has always been a solid port player who just does what he does. clearly loved and wanted by the players and team but I just see him being more and more pushed out of the guts with others coming in and especially with Bergs there and ESPECIALLY if Bergs stays on. I don't see a proper role for drewy anymore if that happens. Same as Wines although he does a different role port still require and I've got a feeling he'll retire end of 2026 after contract. Would be sad to see Drewy go but yeah if it turned into NWM and even Keeler as well, then take it.

There's zero chance we get NWM and Keeler unless Bergman leaves. Keeler I believe is rated quite highly at Saints and so won't be exactly cheap either.

who's to say they won't start trialling Whitlock in defence? he took a few good intercepts in defence last sanfl game from memory. But he's still a year off as a true key forward at this stage. Keeler looks like he could be good but maybe his role won't be forward? who knows. he's out of contract this season like NWM is, so it's a matter of what he wants to do and if Port see something in him coming along with NWM.

Port’s depth quality will skyrocket. Add Doug Cochrane and the 2027 draft haul and all of a sudden Port looks the goods.

None of those players are forward rucks. Keeler would be instantly and easily the best forward ruck on our list. He'd be replacing Sweet or Visentini from this week's side, not a key forward.

Depends on the first rounder anything less than pick 10 we'd be making out like bandits for sure.

To put it in perspective I'd probably be fine with losing Drew for pick 20, and not unhappy with anything down to pick 30.
