Just because they haven't been announced; doesn't mean they won't happen.

I think NXT will end up running their Takeover events the same weekends as AEW and we will se 'When World's Collide' Events in the lead up to the Big 4 PPV weeks. Takeover takes a different form in the 'schedule' of a PPV weekend now anyway that Smackdown is on a Friday night rather than the Tuesday.

A combination of waiting to schedule to undermine AEW PPVs and it finally getting to Vince McMahon that TakeOvers the night before his PPVs is exposing how bad the later are.

WWE is also quietly dropping their "Big 4 PPV weekend" scheduling outside of WrestleMania. SmackDown and Raw aren't in the Royal Rumble city.

Being able to turn a discussion about NXT into an anti-Vince McMahon diatribe is a unique skill.

what he said is true. NXT take overs do expose at how crap the PPV’s are. With the amount of PPV’s the WWE produces the quality is no longer there. That came about of the Monday night wars, when both WCW and WWE were there trying to out do each other by upping the PPV’s. Before that, it enabled a bigger and better build to a rivalry, rather than trying to have it rushed. That is what NXT does so much better than Smackdown and Raw with their Take overs, they build the momentum, so your invested. Its a nice build every 6-8 weeks, rather than over saturated crap, every 3-5 weeks that the main rosters do.

That is on Vince, as he appears to invest in quantity over quality.

So you're still complaining about a decision that Vince McMahon, Eric Bischoff & their respective companies made over 20 years ago?

Im not complaining. Just making a statement and an observation, as to why the PPV’s are no longer what they once were, and why Take Overs are that much better received. At the moment it’s too early to judge the quality of AEW’s PPV’s. At this stage how ever in order of personal preference it’s basically Take Overs > daylight > AEW > more daylight > Main roster PPV’s > Network specials ( Saudi shows ect).

it is what it is.

The number of PPVs is another issue. WWE's would still be s**t if they did 5 instead of 12.

Im old enough to remember wrestlemania 1. 😂

Wrestlemania 3 probably had the best build up as in story lines. Hogan pleading with Andre.
Savage with the time keepers bell to the throat of steamboat.
JYD refusing to bow to “king” Harley Race
Piper and Adonis with Pipers Pit vs The flower shop.

all of these storyline’s started to build between 6 months and 3 months of each other.
That is what made Wrestlemania 3 so compelling and must see, as the storyline’s were not rushed, They had the time to build and get over organically to make it a much watch show.

now days it’s a week to 3 weeks of building up a fued, where the fueds then continue for another 3 PPV’s without much pay off, so it has less impact to actually watch. Besides the Royal Rumble winner getting a title shot, there is nothing compelling storyline wise to stay invested in wrestlemania any more.

You couldn’t pay me enough to take the last spot, that was beyond insane. Was hoping for Cole’s sake he was going to straighten himself out before the landing, but his neck and upper back took the brunt of it.
