I see Connor Hargreaves has been cleared and played on the weekend for Katamatite. Big loss for the Pigeons, and a big fall from grace in the last two years. I know he isn't a footy head, but he is a much better player than the Picola League
 
Also Cresswell wanting to play at 44!! Soft tissue written all over it, these guys forget the league is of a high standard with young athletes. Akermanis battled at 38. He was a better player than Creswell.

I saw the Lavi game on the weekend. Raiders played very well. They coughed the ball up a few times in a row kicking out from full back which was the only time the game got away from them. Didn't look like they needed Cressa.

Agree no need for Creswell but backs need to improve and desperately need a key forward - Neagle and Flagg will make a difference.
Bryant seems to be the only mid that brakes lines, must be frustrating as a forward when others don't use their first option as instructed though. Saw lots of turn overs trying to go sideways rather than honouring a lead or at least to contest. Less mistakes all-round and bit more scoring power and the Raiders will be better.

Always entertaining Akermanis. So he looks to come back for a variety of reasons....but wont play for Nth Albury next week against Albury (when you would need the most on field leadership) because he is playing for some other club in another league. Please

"I will play against Rovers because they aren't that strong but next week when we play Albury I will give it a miss and yell from the coaches box again. I'm also playing for someone else next Saturday if anyone wants to come and watch".

If Prior had of been sent off when he should have wang would have won the game. The bloke had an absolute stinker and responded by trying to take out his man, would have thought that was the exact reason the send off rule exists.

Haven't seen the incident, but talking to a supporter today, they said the umpire was right on the spot and a free kick was paid. Umpire deemed it nothing more than a free, and apparently Grossman over exaggerated big time. That may have contributed to no report being made perhaps?

Grossman had to leave the field he wouldn't go off at a crucial time in the game if he was hamming it up. The ump was right there and that's why it's extraordinary that he wasn't sent off. We all know Prior has a history with this kind of thing, when he is getting beaten he cracks it and lashes out. Disappointing that a bloke who has had such a great career will be remembered for this kind of thing.

Funny you should mention that as I noticed that Yara's best from the weekend just gone featured Tom Wallis ( Berrigan junior ) along with O'Connor and Coburn ( played at Strathmerton last year) .

Just lucky "scratcher" wasn't coaching this game given a couple of umpiring decisions that gifted Lavi goals.
One in the last qrt! Cairnesy might be bald by mid season. Seems Wang often get the rough end of the pineapple? Must add Wang had the opportunities to win.
 
A couple of strange decisions but not sure anyone at the club would be blaming the umpires, they know they have had the chances to win the last two weeks and haven't taken them.

The danger for wang is that they have been up and motivated for the last four weeks against the top sides, can't afford to let up against the lower rated teams or they might get a shock.

What I meant Roar was exactly that- he is an O&M standard player. There would be numerous amounts of players capable as you have pointed out. As a football follower- you like to see all players playing the best standard they can, that was all I was trying to say.

No dramas my point was that although he may be of O&M quality it doesn't necessarily make him ' a much better player than the picola league ' . It is very likely there are players equal to him already having a run around in the Picola league .

Heard that Prior maybe out for upto a month with a shoulder injury, so I don't think 2 weeks suspension is going to bother him too much.
Interesting to see if they play Kosi deep with no Prior.

I would hope not, I thought Kossie looked as mobile as I've seen him in a long time Saturday night, I thought he was very good for the panthers, perhaps with the exception of trying to run around Ben Douthie...

Perhaps they send Yensch to full forward and bring Dickson back into the ruck for the next two weeks...

Prior did Look sore to me as well, so not surprised he decided to take the two,by the sounds of things may not have got up for this week anyway...

Have to Say I was again Impressed with Wangaratta, they had Lavingtons measure all night, but just missed two many easy opportunities to score, won't win to many games kicking 8.15...

Apart From Albury, there is not a lot between Lavy, wang and Yarra, so at least there should be strong interest as in to who finishes 2nd
