Heard Yarra is having a crack at getting Taylor duryea in. Would only play enough to qualify due to Richmond duties. Yarra gonna be back up top in no time

Yarrawonga look to be stocking up in the KP department, anyone know if their latest signings can play ?
One of the 6'5 blokes played reserves for a few years at CSU Bushpigs in the Farrer League (Riverina) so he's no senior footballer
The other played mostly 2s in the Horsham & District league, played some thirds for Uni Blues in recent years too.

So I'd say no.

Have “we” taken note of the quality of 3rds coaches around for next year?
Thirds coach’s are almost as important to get right as the senior coach if you ask me, that might sound silly to some but a good 18s coach vs a bad 18s coach impacts the clubs more then people would think.

Who are some of the names coaching the 18s next year?

Yep I think the old Subaru brumby ute was making the point, who cares about thirds coaches. Which probably shows hes knowledge of the game, look at lavy, no big name recruits, good senior coach, and youd think the thirds development was further fast tracked by Peter Dean at the helm, who had a great afl career and coached the tac cup. Gone are the days of just having whoever in charge of thirds, you need the senior coach and thirds coach on the same page, with clear ideas of getting kids in good habits and structures

Inclusions; Corowa has Sam Carpenter and Noah Amery, Lavi has Peter Dean, Rovers have Will Nolan and Tom Boyd joining the coaching group…. The mentoring these kids are going to get in terms of personal development, team work and footy skills will be second to none.

I’ll have a look at other clubs

I 100% agree with you about thirds coaching.

Couldn’t agree more. The development of your footballers between the ages of 15/18 needs to be in safe/capable hands. Too many times over the years we see clubs either throw the role at a young senior footballer so you’re able to throw them some extra cash, a father of one of the footballers who only has his sons best interest at heart or some clubs just give the role to anyone.

Adam Schneider and the Lavington footy club are the blueprint for any club wanting to build a successful club from the thirds up.

Corowa is an example of getting it wrong this year . They had 2 school teachers who didn’t connect with the playing group and it would be hard for the better junior footballers who played senior and reserves footy throughout the season to listen to one of the coaches who couldn’t even get a game in their reserves… But they’ve definitely fixed that problem with Carps onboard I just hope he can keep some of the top age thirds who are allegedly on the move to district clubs

The smear campaign in today’s local news is nothing short of disgraceful. So a bloke can’t enjoy a beer without critique. And the timing of the article, obviously trying to distract the team before digging in to another pre-season. Magpies player with the tip off I’m assuming.
Please explain

No such thing as a tip off when the idiot ends up in court
