Preview Obligatory post-preseason Best 22s

Gentlemen,

It's that of the season: time for everyone to have their best/wildest crack at our best 22 - both our best possible team, and the best team available for Round 1 taking injuries and form into account.
I'll start it off (caveat: without seeing much of the preseason)

Best 22:

And now I'm sad. Fair to say I had very little confidence picking some of the kids in the Round 1 team - namely Tapscott, Bail, Gysberts, Blease, McKenzie, Watts, Grimes even (although I'm sure he will play) - based on either scratchy early form, injury worries or lack of game time. Also worrying how one-paced our midfield looks, especially without Sylvia but also pending the selection of Blease, Nicholson and Bail.
Moloney, Jones, Magner, Trengove, McKenzie... hard to see Bate getting a game for a start, could also throw Gysberts in there as well.
Backline looks fairly solid... apart from Grimes being a china doll of course.

It will be interesting to bump this thread later in the season to see how much changes, and indeed how well founded my/our fears were.

Glad you got best 22 and R1 22. I will post mine later, it's basically the same but with every field position filled by Jones, Magner or Clark.

This is my 22. It's not round 1 nor is it currently our best, its just the team i'd like to see play for to make the team better next year and the years after that. I still think it'd be competitive though.
