i didn't think he said he was an insider

it's just the way you interpreted it
What point are you trying to make?

The Op said:

The win over Hawks cost a PP and the chance to nab the preferred option of Trengrove AND Morabito

Apparently Eagles have earmarked Lecras for a midfield role and therefore are reluctant to trade McKinley

He doesn't know what the Eagle's preferred draft options are so shouldn't post as if he does.

BB I understand your statement. Due to my associateion with certain people, I do have some knowledge of of thoughts and preferences. I was trying to be succinct in my post and forward some ideas that I consider would be 'common sense', rather than compromising inside knowledge. For instance most pundits believe Trengrove is a clear 2nd best in draft and due to size variances that are needed within a midfield rotation, Morabito's assets are invaluable in a pretty uniform and unexciting current eagles midfield. As to Lecras's situation, he is regularly run through the midfield and it was reported in the paper weeks ago that Burns wanted him there permanently - so this bit of news is hardly revolutionary.
But I do heed your criticism and will be more circumspect in the future.

If LeCras is to get more time in the midfield then the Eagles will need a goalkicking small forward to replace him. I don't see any of the current players as much of a small forward option so it would seem that we need to draft someone. Who do people like in this position, and who could the eagles realisticly get ?

From the U/18 carnival the standout was Matera from WA however he is too young for anybody but GC this time around. Another option is Colyer also from WA.
Following on from my OP - it is my "understanding" that West Coast are aware of their problem in this area and are determined to address it in this draft and beyond.
