I think Doherty is better in ODs, Beer is better in T20s.

O'Keefe has poo stats in limited overs, doesn't he?

O'Keefe doesn't take wickets in LO cricket. Keeps it under 5 an over, but you'd rather 1/55 than 0/48. He shouldn't be in the NSW OD team but you know he's the captain (I'd rather see Doran or Zampa played, along with Smith being bowled before the other team is already on the rampage, which is historically a poor time to turn to the leg spinner)

no, Doherty is clearly the best T20 spinner in the country

might wanna look at the stats. they say he don't take wickets and he don't keep the runs down, and over a fair amount of games too.

if they're thinking of the next OD WC, Mckay/Hastings/Richardson are in line for that spot, if they're thinking of the Ashes, apart from Hilf/Pattinson, NCN and...uh well I guess there's not much else, but he should be given a shot. Feldman and Putland might be smokies, depending on how they finish the bigbash.

i guess there's probably a lack of part time overs in there, but i just can't bring myself to drop bailey for maxwell.

I wouldn't mind to see Lyon play in the ODI's. The more international cricket he plays the better.
While the Big Bash is still on, sure, but once the Shield starts up again I'd prefer to see him playing long form cricket.
I read somewhere that Harris might be back at some point during the summer, if that happens I'd rather he stayed in the Shield as well. It would be a beter build-up to India than short form stuff.

Can't argue with that. Only problem is Botha needs to bowl Lyon.

Hopes is still a gun death bowler in short format cricket, and is also a really handy lower order bat.
Take a look at his stats in limited overs games this year. He has poor batting averages in both. In the BBL, his economy is over 10, in the Ryobi, his economy is over 6.

For the role he plays in an ODI side, 6 an over is not a problem. He bowls at the shitty times.

T20 has developed guys of similar capabilities that are alot younger, that would probably benefit from being in the national setup.

Maxwell, Coulter-Nile, Christian can all fill that role now.

+1 for Richardson in the one-day games and T20 games.

He bowls low 140km/h, but has that intangable, he skids the ball, and it looks to be on you alot quicker than his pace suggests (which is already really good), he looks express.....

Probably a good time to move Hussey along, like our test side it is a struggle fitting our best batsmen who happen to be openers into the same lineup. If Hussey does make it then Warner will want to step up as Hughes and Finch are really pushing their claim.
Why is this a good time to move Hussey along? He is currently in great form

No love for Steve Smith? He is the best fielder in the country and has been in good form with the stick (Average-66 SR-114 in Ryobi cup this year)

Talking as a genuine batsman here not as an all rounder.

Michael Clarke>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Steve Smith as a fielder.

you have to be joking, he fumbles the ball, a crap throwing arm and rounds around like a lost puppy on the field

He's only bowled three overs this year in overs 40-50. Even if it wasn't a bad economy rate, it is not one that should get you into the national team.
Fair enough. I don't really keep tabs on the domestic one dayers. Maybe Christian then. I think Maxwell is a bit overrated.
