It's probably already been posted somewhere but I thought I would post it here anyways. Crowd's might be down for ODI's but tv ratings these days could play a key role in the survival of the format and the tv ratings seems to be holding up well.
Following the conclusion of the five Ashes tests, won 5-0 by Australia, cricket keeps delivering for Nine with the first One Day International between Australia and England yesterday.
Nine's coverage of Australia's easy six-wicket victory had a national peak audience of more than three million viewers and an average audience of 2.450 million
The second session had an average metro audience of 1.635 million viewers - the fifth-highest England v Australia one-dayer since OzTam ratings began in 2001 - while the first session averaged 1.246 million.
The cricket was the top-rating program of Sunday night, with Nine News averaging 1.505 million viewers in the five metro markets.
