Going to be a lot of work for Jade.
Is there anyway we could modify the game so it is run easier?

Could just do the draft game like last off-season.
All we would need is 2 threads. A discussion thread and an official picks thread.

This game is much easier to run than the last one.

To make it a bit easier for Jade we will still keep it at 24 hours to lodge bids BUT the next round starts whenever Jade is ready.

Some suggestions:

1) 400 million is way too much. Save yourself the trouble and make it 8 million. That way the amounts you bid will somewhat reflect real world salaries. So when you bid $2m for Judd, you know you overpaid - as opposed to betting 50 million and wondering how that computes.

2) We need to run through players in about 40 days to give us enough time to complete this game before the season starts. So 20 players a day would be a better number. Don't stress, this doesn't extend my workload at all.

3) Whilst I'm happy to maintain a minimum list of 25, I'd strongly suggest to the judges that anyone with a list that small has no hope of winning this game.

4) PMs will be sent out prior to midday everyday Mon-Fri. You have until 8am the next day to respond. I will not chase you for a response. If you don't, you simply lose the opportunity to bid on those players.

5) Players will be 'seeded'. This way, I can make sure that a mix of quality players and unknowns/rookies appear on every list of twenty players. No, you won't know what this seed is.

6) I will be keeping a list of both up to date team lists, money spent, when they were bought etc.... I will not be publishing this every day; but it is available on request. I would STRONGLY encourage all team members to open an early post in the thread (once open) to continually edit to keep track of their own progress.

Arnt that what mods are really for, bit piss poor we cant get someone to run it. I wouldve thought mods need to be on this board most days? surely they are the ones that try and make this board as good as it and enjoyable for others?

In fairness, this doesn't exactly fall under regular mod duties, just cos us plebs want to run a laborious fantasy game, doesn't mean a mod has to run it/endasskiss

Righto peoples, in the interest of getting this game rolling, we'll give Keystone agony until 7pm tonight to get his post in.

If he doesn't I'm happy to replace him in the game; it was stipulated that we needed guys that could be on pretty much everyday, and I'm sure everyone else is keen to get going. I am aware he may be at work etc.... but we are on time constraints (seriously) we'll finish this game days before the season starts.

Does anyone else have any interest in joining if he does not show up in the next 40mins?

Whilst I would agree with you there, I'm just a little concerned that not being able to show up for the first day might not be the best start for a comp that needs fairly steady attention for a month a half.

Don't get me wrong, I hope he just puts his bloody post in!
