Bombers star being courted

Moments after declaring that he will not be actively searching for a new team, Bombers key forward HawkPatrol was rumoured to have been contacted by at least 1 SFA team. It is not known at this stage exactly which team has contacted the out of contract forward, but the offer is believed to have come with a leadership group clause.

HawkPatrol has been unavailable for comment, but sources close to him say that his stance hasn't change since being contacted.

Southern Dragon's Young Gun Receives Big Offer
Mark Robinson-Herald Sun

Southern Dragons star Tim_Saints has been rumoured to have big deals swing his way in the up and coming Free Agency period. As well published the Mid-Season trade period came up with Tim_Saints being targeted by Season Spooners The Mount Buller Demons which was the only real movement at the time. In recent weeks Tim_Saints has been shown new intrest with League powerhouse The Baghdad Bombers with a offer that is believed to be career. defining. As stated by SFA'S very own Jason Akermanis Okey who we all know is not afraid to state an opinon EFL_Boy and Tim_Saints have a great friendship within and outside of the SFA which makes the move seem very realistic.

I spoke to Tim_Saints today before a light training session at the MCG " Basically I have no comment on what is happening in the off season. The Dragons are deep inside our finals campaign and the last thing on my mind is the Free Agency period. I would be lieing if I said I haven't been approached but that is all".

In what shapes up to be a fantastic Trading Period Tim_Saints isn't the only Shagon teams are lining up for with Dragon hard nut Cormick supposebly being linked to and SFA Club. Two very vital part's to the Shagons midfield and two players they would not want to let go. The scene is set for a frantic off season period.

If HP leaves for a better leadership position that what he's in line to get at the Bombers then fair enough, can't blame a bloke for that can you Kerrby:D But to not even consider them, probably the Demons, Okey said he wants to be a midfielder next year?

Also is there anyone half decent - liked by Boncer - who he hasn't tried to recruit??

Rumour: A quality Mt Buller Demons player is believed to be interested in a possible move to the Bombers next season.

That could only be one of 3 I think Okey, EBIAC or TG (playing wise).

I don't want to spread rumours about my own club, but I suspect you are wrong.
Yer I forgot Roughie that's the only options I could see.
League powerhouses make the finals. Duh.
Well the Bombers are one of the bigger clubs they have won a premiership and compared to The Demons and Gumbies they are powerhouse.

umm since when? The club is clearly a powerhouse in the SFA regardless of our on field performances.
It would work if the SFA had members and the like. Seeing it's a bunch of nerds sitting at a computer realising their AFL aspirations via a simulator, then "powerhouse" could only apply, one would think, to a team still in action...

Or who is the strongest club off the field, in this case with posting. How did you manage to overlook that.

But if thats the case the Demon's are the powerhouse of the SFA and I'm sure everybody would disagree and say they aren't :D.
depends, I wouldn't consider the Demons to be strongest posting team by quantity and you have to consider quality and the respect of posters also. Personally I think the Bombers have those.

Yer they post alot which is great but they did finish last, personally the Shagons do alright, Bombers for sure, Wonders to those 3 would be the biggest I THINK not 100% sure though.

Don't dig a hole Timmy, on-field performances mean nothing in terms of determining which clubs are powerhouses. The Bombers are a powerhouse, the Demons would be close. Wonders not even in the ball park at the moment, Shagons are ok. I think the Dees post the most and the Bombers are probably the best posting team at the moment with 7 or 8 very good posters.

What? Don't really get the digging a hole comment

Performance's do help determine a powerhouse because if your shit on the playing field knowone pays attention to you and knowone care's about you, thankfully for the Dees you post very well which is a good thing for the league. A team like the Bombers have won a fag they post well and perform pretty well usually, the shagons play very well and have 3-4 posters that are always active aswell as a few fringe posters.

The argument has been that the bombers are a powerhouse and on-field doesn't matter. So saying the Demons aren't a powerhouse because we finish last is digging a hole. On-field results are uncontrollable. In every other controllable aspect there is no reason to say we are not a powerhouse. Even though people hate Collingwood, when they finish close to the bottom they are still a powerhouse.
