North Melbourne announce delistings- declare that the trade period was a serious failure.

North Melbourne manager and newly appointed coach JT_the_Man has admitted that he did not achieve what he set out to do.

"Due to some bad time management and an inability to close deals throughout the period, we have been left in an awkward place, with lots of players futures up in the air."

"There may well be more delistings to come."
He proceeded to announce the delistings as follows-

Farren Ray (rookie)
Robin Nahas (rookie)
Michael Firrito
Joel Tippett
Drew Petrie
Nick Dal Santo

In the statement JT_the_Man also stated that Majak Daw will be promoted to the senior list.

Essendon Delistings:
Adam Cooney - Retired as spongey floors can only do so much
Tayte Pears - Retired to become a fire fighter
James Gwilt - Retired after a very solid career getting the best out of himself.
Shaun Edwards - Lots of talent but cannot develop his consistency. Looking to retain on the rookie list.
Jason Ashby - Just couldn't quite make it.
Tom Wallis (Rookie) - Was picked up as a favor to his dad but never showed enough.

Rookie upgrades:
Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti - Gun
(also considering Conor McKenna upgrade but this is yet to be announced)

We have also put a contract offer in front of Nick Dal Santo to pick him up as a DFA.

Picks: 40, 50, 73, 91, 109 (Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti upgrade)

Senior list: 36 (before the addition of Dal Santo which would make it 37).

Essendon is very happy with how the trade period unfolded and believes with the addition of key senior players (Goldstein, Cotchin, Gunston, Houli, Vickery) as well as some very talented youth (Titchell, Wood) we will look at making a tilt for the flag in 2017.

After the first lot of delistings have come through, Richmond are considering tabling offers to 3 players to join the Tigers as delisted free agents

the 3 players that Richmond are interested in are
Nick Dal Santo
Drew Petrie
Sam Skinner.

Richmond will officially table offers tomorrow

:( I was honestly not going to delist either... There was just a lack of better options to delist at a rebuilding club. Was considering giving Petrie a rookie contract if no one picked him up.

Mate if you need a few days we understand. If only Franklin had of played today... #wrongplace ?

On the positive I had a little on the NS medalist lol and I plan on getting hammered tonight lol

if you are interested in any of the delistees, make it know before 5pm AEST today (i would assume)

then if there are multiple clubs interested, let the bidding war begin!

Carlton are interested in Dal Santo, McBean and Edwards. List management is happy with the trade period and has a rough idea of who Carlton may be choosing with their picks in the draft.

Richmond has announced that they will offer Nick Dal Santo a contract to join Punt Road as a delisted free agent.

The details of the offer are not yet known, but will be announced later today.

The list management team at Richmond are happy with what they produced throughout the trade period and feel they really rejuvenated their list for 2017.
The recruiting team have a rough idea of who they will select in the upcoming drafts

So how are we gonna determine who gets who? First in? As a guy that doesn't want Nick Dal I could announce a random time to start signing? Seems a few are interested

Think we should just make a time where DFA can be signed don't care if it's before or after the draft
