How can you say that after last week's game? It's like me saying Geelong are better than Norf despite losing both games to the umpires.:p
Was only one game. Don't get me wrong, Dogs are a good side, but still behind us. Just. We aren't going anywhere though so won't be surprised to see them go past us at a rate of knots.

They're above you on the ladder and they beat you last week. Are you delusional?

Also heard Jon Anderson saying it was "against the rules" too if it effected the ladder.

Dunno how the AFL will actually police it tho.

They've given Freo the green light to rest players going into the finals, now they have top spot stitched up. Shit look for the game, IMO

They also had an easy draw compared us seeing the positions both teams finished last year. If we had their draw we'd have made top 4.
what? Brisbane twice, Essendon twice? Geelong twice (a little bit harder potentially but turned out we could spud it up as well as the bottom of the ladder teams). The only 'hard' teams you got twice were Richmond and Freo. Cry me a Rivers®, Quiv!!

Dogs got Brisbane, Melbourne, West Coast, St Kilda and Port twice- you could argue that Melbourne, StKilda >> Essendon and Geelong (since both teams beat us/drew with us), West Coast equivalent to Freo and the only point of difference being Richmond > Port...

not much easier than your own draw, is it?

I really don't think you could argue that at all tbh. Essendon and Geelong are both far better teams the Melbourne and St Kilda. Its also not just who they played, its where they played, when they played. Even Doggies supporters will tell you they had an easy draw.

Yeah, it's always about where and when teams play- those frigging 6 day draws are a real killer when you're already struggling. And if you're travelling back from interstate. You still had a pretty shit easy draw and, if we'd had it that easy, we'd have made the 4 as well :)

Why would you care, it's not as if you were going to watch it anyway!
Yeah, I wouldn't watch it but they shouldn't set a precedent, Kram- give them (Freo) an inch, they'll take a mile. Next time it'll be just a WAFL team with no AFL coaches, who'll all be freshening up for the finals.
The AFL kicked up a stink a few years ago about it but then said it was OK this year. The game is going downhill fast. Maybe rest one or two players each week like the Cats did in 2011 but not half of the team.

Quivorir , have been reading that North is resting players this week IS that official, or just people speculating, do you know ?
I think we will rest the likes of Boomer, Drew, Goldstein etc. I don't like it because I want to beat the tigers, but I see why we want to give ourselves the best shot in the finals. I definitely would not be tipping us or putting money on us this Friday though, we will phone it in.

Post needs more silliness and hyperbole ;)
