Did you read his book, cats? I think my nephews and nieces and sisters were on the bandwagon. Neither did it for me, though. I've barely followed any cricket because of them. Have only recently crept back because I smelt retirement!! Lol.
Didn't like Warney at all, either. :D
(Might as well be hung for a sheep as for a lamb ;))
That would require me to read :p

I used to love reading biography's, but kinda gone away from them now. When I'm in a reading mood I will read a lot of books, but lately I have been in more of a tv watching mood - most of these activities take place on my train trip to work each morning, as an easy way to pass the time.
I might have a read of them at some stage.

I flip between the occasional biography- but more of war characters than sportspeople- through lots of fantasy (Mercedes Lackey, Margaret Weis, David Eddings, etc), a little SciFi, some espionage/thriller then some Australiana non-fiction. Have quite a few histories of mining towns, for example, books about the first fleet, 1850s Goldrush, Kokoda, Gallipoli, several Mary Durack books and also have read and re-read A Fortunate Life.

My reading tendencies are based more on authors than necessarily genres, although a good thriller, crime, suspense novel/movie/tv show I'm am swayed by - and sometimes what I read is based purely on gifts. I like Ben Elton & Matthew Reilly, plus I have a soft spot for Shakespeare, while at the same time I also read the Walking Dead graphic novels (got a deal with my brother where he gives me the next annual in the collection for my birthday & Xmas; my collection is at book 6 while the newest release is book 12, so still a few years before we catch up).

I also have a fair collection of war novels, most of them inherited from my dad - I'm really bad at getting rid of books so I tend to keep them, even if they do collect dust

My books are my friends :drunk: lol
Had to give away a few hundred belonging to my kids that they outgrew or never really liked. I still would have a bookshelf of them, though. The librarians and my brother's kids love us. ;) I kept all the Enid Blytons, Hairy McLarys etc. :)

I never even knew what a genre was when I started collecting books- like you, I work mainly on authors and always want whatever's been written by some authors. My first Sci Fantasy, as it used to be called, was a Stephen Donaldson book. Then I was given the Hobbit and bought the Lord of the Ring trilogy - I was hooked. :)

I also pick up $2 books etc from shops like Red Dot. One of those led to me obsessively buying another 40 of that author's books- unfortunately none of the others cost just $2.

Haven't read Matthew Reilly, I don't think, but my bookshop lady told me how wonderful Two Brothers by Ben Elton was, so I bought it. Not fussed about it, though. It's ok. I wouldn't know a thriller from a suspense novel- I'm sure there's a huge grey area in that definition.

Bah looking for a video of this:
"Oh look our fans came out even tho we lost"
"Can't catch a football??? Let's see if you can catch a rock!!" :D

But I can't find it damn it.
I made the same joke about Ballas arriving at Perf airport saying that in 2013 but it's much more funnier about Jack Darling because of THAT dropped mark, Hawks then kicked 4 goals to finish it.

My uncle will be going nuts in Townsville watching this Thugby crap. He's an Eagles' supporter too I think so it potentially could be a very bad weekend for him...

Actually thinking about it it's even worse if they lose because he's a massive Pom, and the Aussies knocked them out of the WC last night in the other butt sniffer code :D

Sitting in Virgin Lounge Melbourne for 9am flight to Perth. Weagles team here and are VERY quiet. God only knows what would have happened if they'd won. Later flight I guess.

Anyway I think I'll hold off calling them softcocks until we are underway.
Just tell them that the rest of Australia was with them against the Poos+Wees.
