And again, just reinforces how much i would NEVER EVER want to own a ****ing dog in my life.

The 2 cats are legends tho- they are getting most of my attention. They are both seriously good looking cats, will post pics l8r.

This. I like dogs as animals but talk about high maintenance!

The best dog was my friend and house-mate's pitbull/staffy. I got to enjoy walking him and even had him over at my own place later to stay, fantastic animal but all the ultimate responsibility was on someone else :) They had to put him down earlier this year though from old age and a bad heart :(

Nah I hate pitbulls. Sorry if it offends anyone, but they are horrid, dangerous dogs. Sound be banned.
He was only a pit X. I was like you Shell beforehand and I assure you I'm not a 'dog person' at all, but this dog was the most friendly, docile, well trained and intelligent animal ever. Actually one thing that pissed me off was other dog owners giving you dirty looks as if the animal was scum :drunk: Heck even my own brother was going they are 'no good' to an animal that he hasn't even met, when his own dog actually has bitten me hard twice  (Not her fault because it was a rescue animal from pieces of shit that beat it up and I usually get along with it, but still.)

As long as it's under control and properly fenced in.

(do I even need to bring up the case of a dog running INTO a house and killing a child- think it was Altona area)

But yeah, keep them away from me, don't wanna have anything to do with them.

I think the problem I guess is the potential for damage if they are owned by scum owners with the big jaws and all. But don't just be hating on the animal itself when they can be one of the nicest animals ever, the stigma against the dog from other people was almost a bit upsetting. The thing was actually like a big fairy, my cat about 1/10th his size would boss him :D

Hell, I remember seeing one wandering my street when I was walking back from the Milk Bar.

I crossed the road to get away from it and hey presto it crossed the road with me. Never been more scared in my life, ended up walking into a random house and was ready to bang on the front door.

The dog stood there for a while looking at me, then walked on thank christ.
