You are such a kind person. There are bird sanctuaries, which care for birds who can't be released into the wild. Why not ask WIRES? Or does your vet friend know of one? I think Bots is right, she needs to flap her wing, exercise it, or the muscles will waste. Ask your vet friend how long a broken wing takes to heal. + in suggesting all that, you've probably done it already :) Have you thought about WIRES?
The vet nurse rang Native Ark who said they wouldn't take it. Magpies are territorial and they should be rehabbed and returned to the exact location they were found. The location we have for it being found is a 5km long road :( Not good enough :(

Sorry to hear that. I've lost two pet cats in my life, and they were within four months of each other. The first one was expected, the second one rather less so. Was very hard.
I really feel for you Doss, our pets are so precious. I had four cats die in two years, mother + her three babies, all were old, mother outlived her babies, but it was so sad, still I was able to accept their deaths. Then I had two Burmese blue/cream tortoiseshell girls, one was run over by a neighbour, which was such a shock, because we have no cars in our street. Her sister was so distraught I had to get her a friend, who she thought was her baby. That kitten had a congenital illness + was pts. The deaths of the young cats was very difficult, just too young + Sapphie was inconsolable. So I braved the Cronulla riots to get her another kitten, who came with his mother, Meggie Meow. Meggie was a kitten factory, the most tortured + tormented little girl. Sapphie cared for her baby, Meggie slept + ate, finally recovered. Her baby was runover. But Sapphie + Meggie adore one another, they're nine now. Last May we acquired two baby boys, so each has a baby + they adore their Boyz! Boyz adore them. It's so wonderful to have such a happy cat family.
You must miss your fur babies, Doss :hearts:
