That sounds great! I've floated the idea of an SA meet-up before as there's a fair few Geelong supporters over here, but it hasn't really ever gotten off the ground. If a bunch of interstaters come over, I'm sure that the cause would be made a lot easier. I'll give a shout out to a few closer to the date if you guys are fair dinkum.

You'll have to stand in the middle of Rundle Mall and shake your (full) Lolly Gobble Bliss Bomb bags really loudly, while yelling "Here, Teriyakicat!" Works every time!
Unfortunately, by the time I pack my bag, drive to Perth Airport and fly over- taking into account the 2.5 hours' time difference- I'd bet the game would be over. :(
We'll all do that the Wednesday before the game + send our helicopter to pick you + hubby up! I bet your hubby would be up for it! I think I might drive over + kidnap you ;)

Why stop at 8???
When you're on a good thing, don't stop!

She's too little anyway- plus she didn't win. He's got to make himself known to the lady who won the event- she's a Commonwealth Games triathlete.
True Teri! But it has to be considered that with them having eight boyz, there could be a fair sprinkling of girlz too!!! ;)

Hmmmmmmmm, I'm not sure about Ashleigh Gentle

Jessica Trengove is much prettier imo, plus there is AFL in the blood!

I'm still for a Joel + Jessica union :hearts:

Well then in that case, absolutely I will get a hire car!!:p

:D

Geeze, when I went to Florida in 2003, I actually got my international drivers license- dunno what I was thinking at the time. Florida apparently have some of the worst drivers, and the traffic was just scary, let alone the whole you are driving on the wrong side of the car and the road!!! Needless to say, I didnt use my international drivers license. :$
I drove in Maryland + Washington, which was fine, you just have to keep up with the traffic, but the whole turning left thing was    o_O

I wasn't sure if you knew what it was but good to hear you use them often.

It is the perfect ring, fully adjustable, looks good and really cheap as you can get them from Bunnings for about $1 :D

As for making it platinum, that would put the price up above $1000 making it the most expensive hose clamp :D
Lol. Bots, you are being deliberately obtuse here. :D Of course you're not meant to get engaged and give your fiancée an el cheapo hose clamp! It's meant to be a special occasion. OK- maybe $1000 IS a bit much for a ring but perhaps you can just get a Pt plating on a stainless steel clamp. (She'll never know!)
One drawback that I can see is that the ring would be a bugger to clean. Especially after making stuff like hamburgers from scratch (says she, after making meatballs on the weekend and thinking of how messy it was ;)).

I don't use hose clamps very often- prob only half a dozen times since I've been here- ie. 10 years. They don't need replacing like the plastic clamps do after being in the sun all the time.

Since we've been allowed to narrow down the field to a final two, we'll let Joel have the final say. ;)
And no wasting time having girls- time's precious. If they are going to give birth to an entire footy team, they'd better shake a leg. Joel's genes are good to go - he'll sire boys, anyway.

I walked past it today, on my way to Allans. Then to the zoo where we saw pandas, and a live sloth crawling along the branch upside down about a metre away from us. I have an affinity with sloths.

[edit: not sure if the affinity is the sloping forehead, the green colour, the long nails, the dopey expression, the upside-down-ness or all of the above]

That is very good of you Teri!

I have another idea now Teri -

What if Jessica + Ashleigh both have Joel's sons?

Hang on: Edit -

We'll also enlist

+

+++ purely for some variety -

Five women + Joel @ eight sons each = 40 sons for Geelong Cats!!!

Go Cats!!!

Edit 2:
Between Teriyakicat's recent Grammar Nazi avatar + our planning of Joel's breeding programme, choosing the incubators + numbering his progeny, it's getting a bit creepy! á la Dr Mengele

Had an excellent day today (sans Melbourne Cup result) with a wonderful drive east of Melbourne. There are so many good roads out there and such wonderful scenery that I'm tempted to move there :p

One road in particular surprised me by how narrow and windy it was, yet it had a 100km/h speed limit!

My route for today was: Healesville>Marysville>Lake Mountain Resort>Warburton>Mount Dandenong lookout. I do have photos and will post them soon.
I'd love to see your pix please Bots, always enjoy photos of lovely places. Of all the places you visited, which is you favourite +/or where you'd most like to live?

sloths are gorgeous little fellas... i could watch them be fussy over what they want to eat for hours:

Oh naaawww how cute! He is adorable!

When I was Googling for an image of an allrighty look-a-like, I discovered Sloth memes  + very unpleasant ones they were :(

Plus I have no idea what they mean or where they're from, but they're most tasteless

Can anyone explain?
