Just curious- was that parent Asian by any chance? Can't see an Aussie being too fussed about NAPLAN results.

My parents are pretty much as lax as you can get when it comes to studying nowadays

They were a bit worse earlier but never to that extent.

I remember being above average in primary school, then petering out to average in high school. Pretty accurate.

also why tag SG?

Yes but but I have a magic bed. As soon as I get in it and shut my eyes it starts churning around all the stuff I learnt the past few weeks :(
And did you hear that a new medical thingy has been found ? That instead of human blood they have found chicken blood is better for transfusing to humans?
lol

I sleep with an encyclopedia under my pillow every night because I understand that it's a great way to absorb knowledge! ;) (Not really!)

No- I hadn't heard about chicken blood. We'll have everyone running around clucking, if we use chicken blood instead of human ;) Still, we've got to find some way of making up the shortfall. Not enough people donate blood. :(

No, wouldn't touch any of them with a ........................ just kiddin' haven't seen The Imitation Game or White Collar so obviously have no opinion, have seen seasons one and two of Person of Interest and like that.

Been meaning to ask you, how come you're only now catching up with shows like West Wing and Person Of Interest that have been around for some time, did you just discover Television? :D

Well yes. I have only just discovered paper and pen after using rock and quill :) Long story re West Wing. Heard about it and took 5 years to find it in a dvd rent shop. I did see it occasionally in the store as in a full set, but wasn't game to buy that in case I didn't like it . Then found the Whole set here locally :) Instead of bits and pieces Was worth the wait :) As for Person of Interest. Don't watch much commercial tv because of the ads, so saw an ad for the show , read the blurb in the shop on the dvd Got it :) Love it And don't bother asking me how I found the even older J.A.G:D

I was/ am a big fan of NCIS. Then found out that the older JAG was the forerunner of that and I vaguely remembered some of that. So got the whole set of JAG:cool:,
