In Melbourne city wouldn't there be countless great places to eat that would be better anyway?

Was thinking the other day where I would stay in a hotel in my own city would be say if I lived in the Perth eastern foothills or hills, staying at a hotel right on Scarborough beach on holidays would be really good. Stayed in one years ago but that was when we live country.
