In the eastern states it's a nightmare, apparently. I went to an open inspection and there were about 15 other groups looking. I didn't think the outer suburbs of Adelaide would be this competitive.

That wasn't my issue though. Filling out all of the shit they wanted was. The online form had zero information prefilled, the information I did need for the agents wasn't at all in abundance and the process itself was tedious.

I've done it all now, so let's see what happens.

I guess other people add more mustard reference's etc to try to get a jump on others.
Good luck on finding somewhere to rent thats what you like aswell.

Cheers. I ideally want three bedrooms so my kids have a room each when they stay. If I have to rent a unit with only two, then so be it.

Tell me about it! So far I have replaced:
  • Sewer line
  • Water line
  • Wiring
  • Two floors with joists
  • Roof
  • Verandah roof
  • Verandah floor
  • Six windows
  • Driveway
  • Two chimneys collapsed, so had to do two new rooms, with new windows, walls, floors etc
  • Ensuite - previous owners laid shower recess + tiles straight on to timber floors :rolleyes:
  • Fire mantles
  • Walls of Fifth Bedroom
Also removed carpet + polished floor boards, re-plastered fireplaces, repointed chimneys + landscaped front garden.

You've heard of the money pit, my house is the money abyss :eek::eek::eek:
