The Sam Raimi spiderman's were some of the most important cbm's ever made. Without the success of Spiderman ( and batman dark knight trilogy for that matter) superhero movies wouldnt be nearly as prevalent as they are today.

They still would've happened nevertheless. May have taken longer to eventuate but that's better when you take into account the graphics will be much better in 10 years.
