I will never not love this song.
For some reason it reminds me of Windy Hill and Glenferrie Oval. I think because I went to those grounds on a day when I was playing this non-stop all day, but not when I was out of the house which is weird.
I loved TPAB so much, and I was hoping that Damn would be better. It was a let down though. I only really liked DNA off it, and I really liked Humble when it came out, but not so much any more.Lovely, such a good album.
Yeh Damn wasn't the best, I really liked Loyalty. Didn't even really fan over humble or DNA.I loved TPAB so much, and I was hoping that Damn would be better. It was a let down though. I only really liked DNA off it, and I really liked Humble when it came out, but not so much any more.
I used to have a really meticulously maintained list of bands I'd seen, that included the dates and venues and whether they were supporting someone else, if it was their own gig or if it was a festival. It was a couple hundred deep when I gave up a few years ago, and now last.fm have changed their profile layouts so I think it's lost forever. Mostly gave up because I had these confusing exclusion rules for gigs where my friends' or my own band was playing and it was all becoming a bit of a chore. Not what I'm listening to right now, and perhaps this belongs in RCT, but having gone and seen Fall Out Boy finally the other day, I sat down and actually listed the bands that I've done gone and seen.

Admittedly a lot of these bands were seen at Soundwaves - this list though is just the ones I actually went out of my way to see. All-time favourite gig is probably Foo Fighters in 2015, camped out the front with like 10 of my mates and we were all centre front, and Dave actually talked to me which was pretty iconic. Made it onto stage at Thirty Seconds to Mars (along with like 30 other people, which was cool and good). Coldplay probably put on one of the best shows I've ever seen surprisingly, very immersive with a stadium wide lighting show with people wearing light up wristbands that are controlled by some sort of wireless processor. Honourable mention to Fozzy at Soundwave though, where I got to hug Chris Jericho.
Will be adding Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Royal Blood and Polish Club to the list in the next few months as well.
What bands have you guys seen/what have been your favourite gigs?
Let's hope they do a 'By Request' show here, but if anything is going to be on this side of the earth, it'll most likely be in Japan. One of my big regrets is not seeing Muse properly. I've seen them twice, once at BDO when I was like 15 and once from some shitty side angle seat at Rod Laver, but both times I felt like I wasn't part of the action. They were one of my favourite bands when I was going through my angsty teen years but their new stuff sucks so it's probably too late now. Unless they do a HAARP anniversary tour or something...
Yeah look given that they skipped us on the Drones tour, I don't like our chances there. I'm up for a Japan trip though, I nearly saw Bloc Party and Mystery Jets play in Tokyo, but it was the night that we landed so got cold feet.Let's hope they do a 'By Request' show here, but if anything is going to be on this side of the earth, it'll most likely be in Japan.
Ready to fly to Tokyo?
This is real freaky for me, because I was thinking about this song
and I put it on and then This Heart Attack is in my recommended, so now I'm listening to that just as I see your post.
Remembering back to when I was a kid..........
