just watching netherlands ves. italy again...1st goooooooooal for oranje !!!!!!! the commentator knew the rule immidiately. that it doesnt matter if the italian player is in- or offside, it was correct.

dont know. but where do all the match balls come from they auction for big money (eg. for charity stuff) after the cup? nowadays you can make anything to money so why should he give it to villa for free ??

My first thought was, the only way that's onside is if he considers the Italian defender still in play. Which of course he was, as he took himself over the goal-line. Seems pretty clear to me, otherwise you'd just get defenders taking themselves off the pitch to play the attacker offside, and you can't have that.

Plus it's always nice to see the Italians crying.

sorry yeah didnt mean that the italian was in- or offside but it was inside coz he was off the pitch and he was kicked out by his own keeper...cry italy cry !!! they didnt get it when it happened but nistelrooy did, so good on him.
