I had almost done an allnighter thursday night, so come 2oclock and I was falling asleep listening to Romania v Italy. Come 3 oclock and I wnet to sleep for an hour. Woke up, couldnt stay awake... rewoke at 25mins gone and it was 1-0... rewoke at 35 mins and turned my TV off

To be fair on the French, that match was purely decided on luck. France had heaps of chances and played some very good football at times (I thought they were going to go straight over them). For quite some time Holland had no idea and was just trying to get the ball out of their own half.

France missed the luck Holland had - especially Govou in the 1st and Ribery in the 2nd half should've scored. For Govou's shot van der Sar hadn't even seen the ball.

Nevertheless I love seeing the Dutch playing as a team for once. I don't think there is a favourite anymore - I had my money on Italy and France, was never believing in the Germans and Spaniards + the Czechs made Portugal sweat a fair bit... Go de kezen

Glad I tipped the Dutch in all their matches so far, might chuck some $$ on them tomorrow for a Germany - Holland final.

I didn't see the game (Work today) but apparently they again played very good counterattacking football, and like Kompany said France had their chances but didn't take them.

Here's hoping Italy and France draw and Romania can get a result v Holland so they can go through .

And one last thing a bit OTT, good work apollo_creed and Lowie on the $20 .

dont agree. This wsnt pure luck. Holland used their chances, france did not. It wasn’t as if Holland only goaled when they had the chance. They missed good chances too.
I’m not saying france was weak but 4-1 is a clear result.
