as i found out this year when expecting my team liverpool to defeat teams such as wigan and birmingham at anfield this year only for both games to end in draw ,nothing is certain in football you only gotta look how liverpool and chelsea were knocked out of the f.a by who of all teams?Barnsley despite the fact that liverpool and chelsea spend about 100 million more than barnsley on players ever year

Harsh, I reckon. I'd have given him a chance to take the team to 2010 World Cup. If you take Cannavaro, Pirlo, Gattuso (plus the fact he couldn't pick Totti) out, I doubt many would have taken them beyond the QFs.

Anyway, I fear tonight might get a little ugly for Turkey. You just can't take that much quality out of any international team and expect them to keep beating the odds. Seems the bookies agree, I can't get any decent odds on a 2+ goal win.

Nothing official has been made on Donadoni. The FIGC has denied the claims that the BBC made.

Donadoni should be sacked anyway. He ruined a fantastic Italian side. He relied on tactics and created a workhorse team. Even without Totti, the talent was still there to create an excellent attacking side. He even left players like Maggio (who had a great season with Sampdoria), Montolivo and Inzaghi (he left his great scoring run too late). Unfortunately, this fear of failure kills Italian coaches and they simply lack the balls to play attacking football.

Martin O'Neill was spot on with two comments he made. He said that he can't believe that Italy needs to be a workhorse side and surely that Italy has enough attacking players to replace Pirlo.

i would think one of the worst performances in the competitions history is a bit harsh.

2-2 would have been fair but they pulled off a cracker of a goal with only injury time to go.
