Adelaide is making the early running on the final day of trade week. It just recruited defender Brad Symes from Port Adelaide in exchange for pick No.28 - which the Crows had received from Sydney in the Marty Mattner deal.

The first trade of the morning has just been announced - Roos ruckman Brad Moran will now call Adelaide home.

The Kangaroos traded the 200cm big man to the Crows for pick No.37 in this year's NAB AFL Draft.

It's a flurry of trading activity now. The Swans have traded Adam Schneider and Sean Dempster to the Saints for pick No.26.

From what Roos said, sounded like he would've got 26 for Adam, then just threw Dempster in for the hell of it.

I know! Even Melbourne fans must be raising their eyebrows just a little considering what Cotchin's Dad said and the fact that Judd (Pick 3) went home this year.

Still, I'm pretty sure that Cotchin will end up being the best small from this draft and Richmond are certifiably insane if they take Morton. Kreuzer I can understand being Pick 1 but I honestly think there's not that much between Kreuzer and Cotchin.

Cats must have cap issues as that is the biggest rip off so far.

Saints have done very well in this trade period.

Schneider and Dempster for pick 26 and now a solid ruckman and a solid tall for pick that Geelong won't even use.

That's just bizarre.

If the Cats get pick 90, that means they have to use every pick up to and including 90. That means they have to have 6 draft picks, so at least 4 more traded or delisted. That bites into their depth in a big way.

Meanwhile, St Kilda continue their modern obsession with near-pensionable ruckmen, that started with Monkhorst and didn't quite wrap up with Matthew Clarke.

Both were going to get delisted anyway and I think they do have very large cap issues. Stretched by the massively improved contract they gave to Blake to keep him there.

Rossy Lyon is certainly relying on a few handouts. He's done a very good job so far too.

I thought you could skip your own picks, but are forced to use the ones you traded for???

They must have someone lined up at #90 anyway.
