IP, considering our lack of posting last year regarding our buddy draft players how about we implement a rule that promotes a bit of thread starting.

ie;
If your buddy plays 2 senior games or more you must begin at least one thread, otherwise inactivity on your behalf will result in him being passed onto the rookie listed Big Footy posters.

It's just an idea, do with it as you will......

great idea... there are some who grabbed their buddies and ran last year... never to be heard from again.

But I bags not being the one to police it...




But I do agree - if you grabbed a spot and have a buddy at the expense of others, you really should post occasionally, talk him up, report anything relevant... all the "buddy stuff"- you can't just ignore him... he's your responsibility on these boards .

BTW - this is not just my thing... it belongs to all of us.

yeah well to be fair, we have to give bushie till tomorrow morning...

But I do think you're right... poor bushie probably won't make the deadline... even after he "sucked up" (his words), got the first spot on the rookie list and was dead keen to get himself a buddy... he's probably way out bush somewhere, away from technology... then he'll get back and see he had his chance on the main list, but then somehow went from #1 on the rookie list to #5....

But Sollie is yours at 9am tomorrow if bushie doesn't get here...

Also - how about some suggestions of what we have to do as "official buddies"... surfsup has got me thinking.... does anyone else have any grey matter at work, or is the Ashes too absorbing that there's no room left for any other thought?? Come on - what are our buddy responsibilities for '07, after we eased ourselves into it in '06??

Apart from reporting on their buddies game each week Their isn't much else we can do and its a bit hard to say anything on the rookies or injured players.Maybe we can predict their next game stats,impact etc..schammer 22 disp 3clear 4mark 1 goal 4 tack

With MJ still available, he's mine ! I think I've got a future Captain as my buddy. I dont expect too many problems talking him up in '07. If he has a couple lean quarters I'll be making sure we all know how good he is.

If we have Non-Performers then obviously the rookies can have first crack at them, but what do we do if we have more NP's than rookies? Can you stick up your hand for another? Maybe even nominate someone that is already taken who you wouldn't mind, that way if someone knows that their buddy is a wanted man it might put the pressure on you to perform, otherwise you might find yourself losing your buddy.
