If this kid doesn't play at Melbourne next year after quotes of "My heart lies with Melbourne" then I'll be mightily pissed off. Screw Toumpas, screw Grundy and screw everyone else in the draft. He needs to be a Demon. Harrington, Neeld and co. make sure it gets done.

I'm with this as well. I don't think any player is a guarantee or bigger than the club's future, but I also think he's a culture changer. I want this kid. Screw GWS and GC in the upcoming years should they bid on him first. Save some salary cap space and raid their lists. That or just continue beating them on the field.

Absolutely, in 3 years time I reckon he will be getting compared to Joel Selwood with his attitude and leadership. He, along with some others including Trengove, Grimes and Clark, will be fighting tooth and nail to drag this club back to respectability and up the ladder

I think the top 4 players in the draft are Whitfield, Toumpas, O'Rouke and Grundy, would take what ever 2 are left, Wines would be my next pick but similar styled player (inside mid) to Viney, but is good mates with Viney and is a Melbourne supporter so would be very happy with him too.

So everyone would prefer 2 mids at 3 and 4 rather than Grundy? Toumpas would be the obvious 3 if GC pass on him.

Something about Wines I like....not sure I want to trade our 13 away unless its for a fair talent.

And on another note, wouldn't mine getting Koby Stevens for a second rounder as a ready made mid.

Yep, O'Rouke and Toumpas are both Jets, we couldn't pass on them.

O'Rourke/Macrae and Wines would be a great add for our midfield. Can't decide between the first two, and Wines gets a bump for cultural reasons - he and Viney together: two tough, committed Dees through and through.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see us get a big bodied forward through the trade period. Whether that's Dawes or someone like Jesse White (!!) I think the club realises Clark needs some help down there on a regular basis, which would allow someone like a Martin/Jamar combo to rest in the forward line as a third tall.

The class mids will probably come through the draft I'd say, with Viney, Macrae, Wines, O'Rourke and so forth out there. If we were to draft both a Viney and a Wines they would probably be walk up starts for the side next season.... you would think.

Send Watts, Morton and Cook over to train with the Jamaican athletic team for a couple of months. Problem solved.

Tom Couch won Casey's BF by a country mile. Big Jack Fitzpatrick came home strongly to finish third. Well done to both of those lads! Josh Tynan's brother Luke was runner-up. Troy Davis won the Senior Respect Earner award.
