Not sure where to post this.

Tom Couch won Casey's BF by a country mile. Big Jack Fitzpatrick came home strongly to finish third. Well done to both of those lads! Josh Tynan's brother Luke was runner-up. Troy Davis won the Senior Respect Earner award.

Reckon he'll get another year on the rookie list?

Send Watts, Morton and Cook over to train with the Jamaican athletic team for a couple of months. Problem solved.

For what it's worth I still see Watts' future as a forward. He is smart enough and quick enough to play there but, as we know, needs more muscle to be a good forward on a consistent basis. When that happens? Who knows.

Tom??? He deserves it. If nothing else his work ethic and will to get the best out of himself is good for the kids to see.

Fitzy obviously won their goalkicking. Anyone who hasn't got this kid in their 2013 and beyond MFC teams is off their head. Jack got better and gained in confidence everytime he stepped out on the field this year.

You're probably right on both fronts, although I think Fitzy needs to put on some more weight/muscle to be able to translate what he can do at VFL to AFL level, otherwise he will just get monstered too often.

Would be good advice to get him to a hair stylist too. ASAP

Agreed. He has had a rough trot with his health, so here's hoping he has a massive pre-season and can put on some size without losing any of his elite athleticism.

Me too which is why I want him on a big dose of undetectable roids.

True, plus it depends on the trade period how close he will be to playing senior footy next year. He would still be behind a few and if we do recruit a big bodied forward as the 2nd tall then he will struggle I'd say. But who knows? If he has a monster pre-season and a very good NAB Cup campaign then his name will be in the mix for Round 1.

Fitzy was always project, but even what I was seeing in his admittedly garbage senior games suggested he's got some talent. He was willing to try things and didn't go into his shell. He's got a leap on him, and he can play forward - he needs some bulk so he can actually take on a key defender though.

When was he drafted? '09? I think '13 if he cracks 8 games he'll be right.

2 goals in his 3rd game is garbage?

...I forgot about that. I'm just thinking of one game where he tried to impersonate Howe and ended up with near-donuts and getting subbed. Can't remember what game it was for the life of me, but we would have been better playing Issac Weetra.

rekon fitz is going to be the perfect player as the second ruckman.. Is very handy up forward and if we can get another key forward to support Clark he will be extremely important as the 3rd tall.. he's really mobile as well and is simply more of a pure football than Martin, with the same sort of tricks

Grundy got 27/30 for the clean hands test.

Assuming we get Viney at 26 I'd go....

3. Grundy

4. Macrae

13. Stringer/Membrey/Garlett

I'd love Garlett at 13. He and Blease running around wing/half forward would be freaking awesome.

I'm warming to Grundy but I'm not sure the club will go in that direction with so many ruckmen on the list already. I think we will go for two midfielders at 3 and 4, and that includes Viney at 3 or at 26.

It's interesting, if Toumpas was somehow available there would be no doubt that we'd take him and another mid @ 3 and 4....

Macrae @ 3, O'Rourke @ 4 and Viney @ 26 would basically complete our midfield - all players really compliment each other.

The ONE thing is that I'm not completely sold on O'Rourke - but I've only seen him live twice, might have just caught him on some average days.

I think we will end up with Picks 3, 4 and 26 no matter what happens over the next 3 weeks. Pick 13, in my opinion, is up for grabs and we would happily trade it for the right price. If Viney slips I'd be happy with Macrae, Wines, O'Rourke and, if we get lucky, Toumpas at any of the 3 and 4 slots to go with Viney at 26.

As a side note I'm pissed off that the F/S bidding is at 10am this Monday morning - first day back from school holidays, won't be able to check anything until 11am. Hardly seems fair. ;)

Not sure why you're not sold on this guy, he is a jet. I would pick him over Macrae easily.

You've seen him play?
Only once in a Calder Cannons game which he killed it, very quick, I then did my own research over the net on him and people have compared him to Chris Judd in his early years, some people have rated him higher than Toumpas in this years draft so from the littbe bit I've seen and other peoples knowledge of him I would be spewing if we let him go.

So you've seen him play once? Thanks, all I needed to know.

My question mark on O'Rourke is this...

Does he have that 'star factor'?

Something that seperates him from a good all round mid you could draft in the 10-30 region.

With Trengove it was his aerial ability on top of a great all round midfielders game, with Scully it was his work in congestion and speed/endurance combination.

With Macrae this year it's his vision and lateral movement, with Toumpas it's his decision making and versatility to compliment his all round game.

I place O'Rourke as one of the more overrated prospects in this years draft, with Whitfield, simply because I'm not sure either of them possess enough standout qualities to hold them in the top 5 of this draft class.

Thanks for your views on what you think. O'Rouke also has great vision and is a great decision maker, he also ranked number one this year in the TAC cup out of all midfielders in kicking efficiency and has great goal sense which Macrae has also. His inside game which is rated higher than Macrae's is what sells him for me, Both are guns on the outside though and would both fit nicely next to Viney, although I would take O'Rourke
