IMO those players are probably worth:

Petterd - Late 1st to 2nd round
Martin - Late 1st to early 2nd
Gysberts - 2nd round
Cook - 2nd to early 3rd
Morton - Mars bar and a pat on the head

Rubbish. Petterd didn't get a game because he didn't want to put in the hard yards required under the new regime. He can GAGF. Cook also overrated... Don't kid yourself into thinking his draft position two years ago is relevant. Both are worth third round picks at best.

yeah having no pre season and struggling with injury all year had nothing to do with it!

Dylan Roberton; 21; 191cm; 82kg; from Fremantle has asked to be trade back to Victoria, he is a rebounding defender, anyone know much about him? Is he worth a look? getting him may allow Watts to go back to the forwardline. Maybe a strait swap of Bennell or Jetta?
Tall defender and has trouble putting on size. Double negative.

No offense but you'd be way off. Petterd a late first rounder??? More like third rounder. Martin probably late second round, Gysberts possibly late first round or early second, Cook maybe fourth round at best, Morton would have a tiny bit of worth, potentially a third rounder.
Martin would fetch a first round pick between 15-22, I'm sure of it. You don't trade young, proven, versatile rucks for any less.

the article was about a trade rumour, bolded for emphasis! There are no confirmed facts because it's all gossip until someone signs the dotted line. Read it for what it is instead of having a sook about it.

So why bother writing about it, if there are no facts? Anyone can make up bullshit, based on nothing.

The paranoia around skinny teenagers on this board has gotten pretty funny.
It depends on the type of player and their approach to the game.

O'Rourke and Morton are similar sizes. The former likes winning inside ball.

Yes he needs a bit more size but he isn't a key defender though, plays off half back, he would provide a bit of run out the back line, he says he's been working on his physical side of the game which shows in his contested posessions stats improving from 3.4 per game last year to 5.0 this year. He is willing to work on his game to make it at the top level, we are going to have quite a few changes to our list and not all of them are going to be big names, this guy doesn't sound too bad to me. Not sure how to post Vids but here is a link if anyone is interested in who he is:

I just think there is a thought around here that Skinny teenagers won't ever put on weight because Morton, Cook and Jizz haven't. Unless a guy some kind of underlying medical condition food plus hard work will always overcome a slow start. Not having medieval training facilities and a lack of experts anymore should get rid of our supermodel player issues. (If we don't draft lazy shits)

lets hope we have to pick him up at 3 .. pick 4 for those is just wrong.

Martin for Dawes if they do want that they can find some other club that will take him ..

lets play hard .. surely about time ..

is the rumor that we are still after one of the Pies recruiting staff still on? I know he was on contract surely must be close to that finishing.

Watched a bit of the Chris Mainwaring memorial game last night, and Tony Notte was playing for the Eagles team. Tony Notte was drafted in the same year as Morton at around pick 19/20, and was delisted last year. If you think that Morton and Gys are skinny, you should see this guy. He's a key forward and his arms are like toothpicks.

Some players will always be skinny, regardless of how much they eat or how hard they push weights.

So if they double their calorie uptake where does it go? Epic shits? I'm going to go with the physics here.

I like Stef - he is certainly versatile, but not 100% proven (beyond one solid season) or really that young anymore (almost 26). Reckon early to mid second round would be his worth, especially considering the Tigers got a gun ruck in Maric for pick 37 last year.

No matter how much I used to eat I couldn't put on weight. My mum used to say it was because I had hollow legs. :)

Heh, me too. At 17 I was 186 cm and 63KG and spent all of my time at home in the pantry. I had to eat constantly to the point of feeling sick and work out like a demon to get big. I'd still lose weight rapidly if I slacked off too until I hit 28 or so.

I wish I could eat and not gain weight these days.

Just make sure you eat the right stuff. Had a great breakfast this morning. Cut down on having as much bread and meat, and had some eggs onions, mushrooms and capsicum. All fried up to deliciousness.
