Ouch playing Pies, Cats, Hawks and Adelaide twice boys are going to have to be on their game. Can't afford a poor start like last year.

Out of that entire bunch, we only lost one game in 2012, next year we have 8 games against them. What's more, we get the return game against Geelong on our own dung heap. We just need to get competitive vs Hawthorn and we are set. Easy peasy.

When was the last time the West coast flogs played us in melbourne? Sick of watching us getting polaxed over at that shithole.
And I feel like we havnt played carlton twice in the same year for ages.
Anyway we had this coming after the easy draw of this year. Can't complain too much

2010 I think.

If we make the eight with this draw, then we would have no doubt have improved and deserved it.
I reckon top 4 is Hawks, Swans, WCE and Freo. Then the rest of the sports are really up for grabs between the crows, pies, roos, tigers, blues and bombers.
Gonna be one of the closest seasons again next year. Massive challenge for our young group.

COLLINGWOOD - We win coming of the Nab Cub winner momentum 1-0

GEELONG CATS - They play their Grand Final the week before on a 6 day break and we run all over them 2-0
SYDNEY SWANS - We average close to 100 points more on teams playing in Hobart (120+ win over GWS there compared to small margin in round23, and 98 point loss to 2 point loss to West Coast) with the 100 point advantage we beat Sydney 3-0
BRISBANE LIONS - Brisbane at Etihad lol 4-0
HAWTHORN - 78 point loss which is viewed as our turn around months later 4-1
PORT ADELAIDE - Port at Blundstone lol 5-1
WESTERN BULLDOGS - We get more then 2 contested marks this time and beat the doggies 6-1
WEST COAST EAGLES - Jack Ziebell stands on the Mainwaring wing the whole game scaring off Eagles players looking to exploit it, we get our finals revenge 7-1
ADELAIDE - Adelaide isn't playing for premiership points and get reamed 8-1
ST KILDA - 100 point win over bottom 4 side 9-1
GOLD COAST - routine expansion team win 10-1
BYE
FREMANTLE - curse of Ross Lyon strikes again 10-2
GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY - routine expansion team win 11-1
RICHMOND - after kicking 7 goals straight, Edwards misses a goal after the siren cause he's a true north man.. we end the tuggers season 12-2
BRISBANE LIONS - We are up 40 points at half time but lose by 3 12-3
CARLTON - Wright tags Goddard again and kicks the sealer and gives him the exact same spray 13-3
MELBOURNE - "The Vault" have a meeting before the game where they stress the importance of not winning 14-3
GEELONG CATS - Season over for them at this point, they are playing their overrated kids instead 15-3
ADELAIDE - Adelaide isn't playing for premiership points and get reamed 16-3
ESSENDON - Essendon forfeit due to not having 22 healthy players 17-3
HAWTHORN - after guaranteeing top spot on the ladder we go into experimentation mode, enter Daw, we lose by 1 due to Daw related mishaps 17-4
COLLINGWOOD - Half our team taking it easy, Collingwood playing for a spot in the 8, they'll want it more 17-5

In all seriousness, if we do well in that tough start we'll have a great season

Delusion: "WOW.....THREE FRIDAY NIGHT GAMES!!!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!"

Fact: The club has been given one extra friday night match.

Commercial ranking of home games:
Sydney (Hobart, Saturday)
Port (Hobart, Saturday)
Carlton (Friday Night)
Collingwood (Easter Sunday, round 1)
Geelong (Friday Night)
Richmond (Saturday)
Hawthorn (Saturday, late in season: ladder position will be a factor)
St Kilda (Sun Twi)
Adelaide (Sunday FTA)
Brisbane (Sun Twi)
GWS (Sunday FTA)

+ no mother's day game (May 12)
- home friday night games are late in the season (early in season sees better crowds unless other factors involved e.g. ladder position of respective teams)
+ 5 out of 7 interstate games shown on FTA

Tef we play on FTA 3 times on a Friday night.

The fact that only 2 of them are home games doesn't negate the fact that we got a third when previously we have only had 1 Friday night total.

The draw is hard but did anyone really expect any less with all the squealing about our easy draw this year?

IIRC the easy bits on our draw in 2012 were the times where we played like shit and the "hard" bits are where we really turned it on. Perhaps the offset of the "hard" draw is we go in focused every game rather than handing up crap ala Port, Bulldogs, GC, GWS(skoda).

The entire season is gonna be a bigger test than this year, it makes it harder to sustain results, and so much better when we win.

You clearly had the easiest first 10 weeks - was over rated and then came crashing down in the 2nd half of the year. Your last 7 games was a true reflection and you were embarrassing. Lucky you have GWS 7 round out next year as you will only lose your last 6. Hawks, Pies, WCE, Roos, Blues and Tigers will again put you in your box.
Outstanding sig!

OF

I'm just emphasizing the over the top positive spin that the club continually places on the website.

We have got a shit draw in 2013. This is a stone cold fact. I don't appreciate being treated like a child.

LOL what?

In 2010 we played the following teams twice...

Geelong
St Kilda
Hawthorn
Collingwood
Carlton
Western Bulldogs
West Coast

That was brutal draw.

This years draw ain't exactly easy either.

You do realise the Eagles came last that season?

EDIT: I just checked the 2010 results. Despite winning the spoon, West Coast knocked off the Bombers twice.....

Couldn't see this anywhere, got my TRFL rollover today (interstate wa member) and it indicated that we only have the one game over here in Perth.

Clearly Firstwithdascoop ect.

Tough draw. Hopefully the boys are burning to take it up to West Coke by the time round 8 comes around after the finals debacle. Exciting and nervous times ahead. Will find out a ****load about this group this year me thinks. The boys are going to have to grow up fast without old man Boomer for the first 6 weeks. Season cant come fast enough now :thumbsu:

Don't Perth fans get two games? The duckers in round 8 and Freo and Round 13?

We play well and win and not only will the draw not mean shit, we will have placed ourselves with the best chance of being on the Friday night game in the last round which means FOUR total FNF games for the year, which is huge exposure in anyone's language.

It's like being in a huge scoring drought for months and then having three hotties hit on you and tell you that there's an even hotter friend waiting back at home for you, so long as you satisfy.

Seriously, cannot believe the negativity. Only team we struggle with that we get a return leg on is Hawthorn. Who, I might remind, is our main rival next to Essendon and haven't played in Melbourne since 2009. We will walk it in against the Pies and win against Adelaide with a leg in the air.

Giddy up!

Any reaction yet down in Hobart to Sydney and Port DP?
Lot of people very happy about the sydney game, a few port supporters down here so should be a decent crowd for that one as well.
