I really rate what gws continue to do with there list.
Anderson, O'rourke, jencsh, Phillips, plowman, marchbach, Tsyon, Garlett etc etc the list goes on.
Have a look for a few years and make a decision, then trust their judgement to ship them off for good currency early while they still have decent value.
Sure they have a lot more talent to do so with but they certainly trust their judgement.
Also really helps with salary cap pressure.
So many list around the afl including ours are putting so much time into players that never make it, then get shipped off years later for scraps or delist them.
Murdoch, smedts, vardy, kersten, Ghs, etc etc
3 years ago might have gotten 3 or 4 decent 2/3 round picks for.
Now lucky to get a third round combined for them all.
Thoughts for the future? I think it will become a trend in the afl soon like in the NFL.
Sure there will be the odd josh Kennedy but far more than likely Richard Tamlings and Mitch thorpes.

He been playing lead up forward this year.
Will be cheap, might need to fill kersten spot.
I haven been taking notice of him much, unsure if he's much good or not.
He had a pretty decent year, bags of 6 and 8 in the 2nds then pretty consistent with 2s and 3s at afl. Wouldn't be too bad to bring in for some depth and another target up forward

Enright and Bartel. Over 600 games. Little fan fare. No controversies. Minimal suspensions.

Two honest, hard working competitors who played the game cleanly for a decade and a half and acted all throughout with oodles of character. Two GFC model citizens. Will be missed dearly.
Arguably Boris and Jimmy epitomise everything good about our recent golden era.

So you're suggesting we'll keep Caddy, get Deledio, and get Tuohy for Kersten?
what im saying is caddy is staying, lang is staying
picks which are ours and we will get for vardy, kersten, etc will play this out

carlton wanted 2 picks for henderson etc, 2e wants out
richmond are talking shite, and this deal will drop late, he is over richmond

and given the hawk deals the landscape has changed, hill was a pick in the 20s

This trade period id full of campaigners
exhibit a. richmond
exhibit b. gold coast

richmond could have packaged up its second round pick with another pick to gws, and then traded it to sydney for mitchell, a player as good as prestia, younger
too many clubs arguing over scraps

Hmmmm! How do we get these players when our salary cap is bursting at the seams & we are not making any room by moving any players on?
