some of you people really overrate Caddy

Caddy is a B grader, his disposal is average, his decision making is average and he is slow, we dont even need him in the midfield anymore

I would hope to get a late pick back as well, something in the 40's or 50's
I wouldn't go that far with Caddy, he's been underwhelming at times, but he can play.

Totally agree that he is overrated on here, along with plenty of others.

Just to confirm, Gibbs plays for Carlton right? Both teams are terrible and its very easy to get their terrible lists and strategies confused as one big steaming pile of s#it.
Maybe we should merge them together in to some sort of weird anti-superteam. Just think about it: if Richmond and Carlton were suddenly one and the same, then the 2013 Elimination Final would not only be the only time in history a club has lost a final to a team which finished 9th, it would also be the only time in history a club has lost a final against themselves.

Another one for the Richmond record books. :thumbsu:

Tuohy trade must be a priority over the Deledio trade. Tuohy trade makes total sense - speed and good kicking from the back half and a replacement for Boris. I'd trade away our 2nd round pick for 2017 to the Blues, or a player (like GHS) with pick downgrade. Make it happen.
If a 2nd round pick is given up for Tuohy he better be worth it.

Makes sense. Geelong always gets screwed over at the trade table.
Looking for nibbles are we. I asked you in 2014 and will do so again as I got no response. So let's try again....

I'm interested to see which trades in recent history we have been 'bent over' so I thought I'll go back 9 years to 2007.

2007.

Playfair to Syd for #44
King and Gardiner to Stk for #90
Callan and #66 to WB for #62.

2008.
Brent Prismall out for pick #39 in.

2009.
We gave up pick #33 and #97 (unused pick) and gained #40 and #42 and #56
We traded Mumford for #28
We then traded #49 for Marcus Drum.

So in summary we gave Essendon 33, Fremantle 49, Port Adelaide 97 and Sydney Mumford and Gained 28, 40, 42 and 56.

2010.
We traded away our middle of R1 Ablett compensation to GC giving us pick #15.

We also gave Carlton Laidler and #41 for #36 (37 after compensation) and #53 (54).

We gave the WB Djerrkura for #57.

2011.
Only one trade for us. Pick #26 out to GC in exchange for #32 and #34.

2012.
Hamish McIntosh in for pick #38.
Josh Caddy for 1st round compensation (activated in 2014 at 14) and #57.

2013.
Podsiadly to Adelaide for #64.
Chapman to Essendon for #84
Hunt to GWS for # 75
West to Brisbane for #41.

2014.
Varcoe out Clark in.
Stanley and 60 for Pick 21.
Christensen (ooc) for 21.
Picks 10 and 47 in for 14 and 35.

2015.
Dangerfield and pick 50 for picks 9, 28 and Dean Gore.
Lachlan Henderson for 2016 R1 pick (16).
Zac Smith for picks 49 and 53.
Josh Walker and Jarred Jansen for pick 40 (2016).

So we've had some token trades to help fringe/older players get to their 2nd clubs. Now keep in mind you said "always gets screwed" So picking out more than 1 or 2 trades where we've been 'bent over' will be required to even remotely justify your claims.

I for one think over the last few years (recent history) we've on the whole been quite fair. Hardly bent over. Unders for some and overs for others.
We're a club that gets deals done overall we are fair traders and other clubs fans acknowledge that fact, yet the misnomer on here by a select few is that we are pushovers. Not so.

You're not guaranteed a gun with a second round pick, especially if you have to wait for next season to obtain it. At least with Tuohy you get a ready made starting 22 player that addresses a team need, pace, good kick and replacement for Boris. We are in the window. The strategy is to have a crack in the next 2-3 years. Getting a youngster in 2018 (with a 2017 round 2 pick) is not even relevant for our current window.

North should be happy with that compo
How Wells can get a pick 32 and yet Geelong let Stevie go to Giants for a rubbish trade. Would Geelong have received something of worth? We were told not at the time but surely should be equal to Wells. I know Wells is getting a big contract at Pies. But Stevie must have got a fairly decent contract.

Wait and see. If his job is to take Enright's place, hopefully he'll have some of the same attributes.

DONE DEAL: McCARTHY TO DOCKERS

Fremantle has secured GWS forward Cam McCarthy and three draft picks in exchange for their No.3 selection in the NAB AFL Draft.

The Dockers have sacrificed their equal highest pick since 1999, but receive McCarthy and selections No.7, No.34 and No.72 in return.

Can see Geelong now receiving pick 34 for Kerstan, which is a great deal for GFC
