RFC have pushed the LIDS issue and we have not caved on it. They upped it to Caddy and still we have not caved.
Now they push the Doggies as an option to see if we will add value or meet them by agreeing to Caddy.

Next is the 4th stage of grief. Acceptance. And the clock is ticking. They will fall over.

Go Catters
Don't budge Geelong. Be more like Hodor!

Mitch Clark waiting for Geelong to finish trade period to see what spots/money is free.
Wells meeting with Freo tomorrow to discuss Kersten.
Where is this from? Trade radio? I can only listen to that in short bursts it's like listening to the US Presidential debates hurts my brain hearing so many stupid ideas at once.

Yep. His manager. He also mentioned many teams looking for back up ruckmen, including West Coast. But sounded like they were just waiting for Geelong to see what they had left. Also manager to Kersten, who is best mates with Hamling, and Hamling battling with decision to either go home vs staying with his new premiership teammates/club.

Always amazed at the young men in footy today - they wanna play with their mates, they wanna be near the folks, they wanna be near the surf with their mates with Mum's dinner ready on the stove.

When they do play, they want game-time in a position they want, even if their form doesn't warrant. Crack the shits, look elsewhere, even when under contract.

FFS - grow up ya' little pricks and forge your own lives with the club that will teach and inspire you to be your best. The rest will still be around when it's over (which is sooner than you think).

Is that really true though? You've listed the 2007-2010 group at the bottom, when Ablett was every bit as dominant as Dangerfield if not better. Didn't stop an entire raft of midfielders all improving around him.

It could be a less palatable reason, they're perhaps not as good as we like to tell ourselves.
I honestly think that perception is changing among the supporter base, how good that crop can or will be. Very rarely do a new crop of youngsters hit anything near the champion team that proceeded them. Hence why we've had to look elsewhere for our next champions. Some might take the step up. Guthrie did in flashes this year, Duncan in flashes last, Motlop always teases doing so. But we might have to live with them being decent, nothing more, nothing less.

I find it really strange too, it's basically a non factor in the major sports codes of other countries. In football in Europe it's almost a given that you'll not just move cities, but probably countries and languages throughout your career, maybe even most of it.

Not that I'm exactly complaining given that's how we landed Danger. But it is odd that a decent subset just can't seem to integrate away from home.

What do the Geelong fans on here see as the likely trade value for Kersten now he's indicated he's keen on coming over to the Dockers?? Not here to cause trouble, just trying to get a gauge on what the fans think is likely to happen.
Pick in the 40's I don't think would get too many complaints, and is expected.

Pick 34 that you got from GWS would be best deal for us but probably won't get it. So whatever is next.

Its depends on what else the club wants to do. Id like a player like Tucker but if the club want picks to group together to upgrade it maybe dependant on what is available

Worth pick 34 but we'll probably have to settle for pick 42 given he's OOC and nominated Fremantle.

Because they can. If they couldn't, they would suck it up and be fine. It's not that they can't, it's that there is an alternative.
When there are clubs willing to play you where you want to play, while you can live where you want to live, around family, why wouldn't you?

I'd be happy if we received pick 34. I expect pick 41.
