Well another in and under type player and would release Dangerfield and Selwood to forward line and would take pressure off Caddy as 2nd string and has time ahead of him, yes would cost us some players and salary but would have impact and allow for future growth, only slight on his game is he needs to hit the scoreboard a littlemore...

Both of them are rubbish journalists pretty much.
Barrett reported Geelong and Deledio before anyone else and Caddy and Richmond before anyone else for a start.
Understand there are a couple of websites out there at this time of year in particular that are full of crap, but in this case it's just reporting what another journo has said, which has had some basis in reality whether people like him or not.

He is 34 and was 50-50 about playing or retiring at the beginning of the year with most thinking he would retire. Our 34 year old won an all australian (mitchell didnt) and came third in our best and fairest. We dont care that he retires even though we got nothing. Hawthorn win if they can get anything better than a fifth rounder for him.
Hawks win as they replace Old Mitch with New Mitch, and get Old Mitch back as coach after Clarko tells him to return.

I know you dislike the FA , and it has its problems ... but in principle , the concept of indentured servitude is something I dislike.
If there was a rule introduced that prevented a top 4 side moving on a FA I may come around. This is not the thread to air my FA grievances though.

He is 34 and may have been 50-50 about playing on at the start of the year, but at the end of the year he was their best player. And they are pushing him out the door and no, they won't get anything but salary cap relief.
Was their best player at the start of the year too. And every other recent year. He is still a star.

AFL.com stating Freo will look to give us a pick between 50 and 60 for Kersten?
OOC but really.

Kicked more goals than Mayne last year and he returned a second rounder.
If true, why can't we ever seem to negotiate decent value from our leaving players?
