Funny you should say that.
While having a Pale and watching the World's Smallest TV and then seeing Burton go down, I turned to a fellow North supporter and said something like "**** footy, might have to get on the Thunderbirds bandwagon" and before I could say anything else he said "yeah but they wear Port colours so I can't do that, otherwise I would".
It has alienated a lot of people and was a terrible thing to do, silly womans and their poorly marketed sports.
Even though I really do hate woman sport because it's so damn boring, I did enjoy seeing the netballers and b-ballers win... now I couldn't give a **** about the Port Powerbirds.
It's interesting because West Coast Fever are associated with the Eagles and the NSW Swifts are linked with the Swans. Not sure if the Crows passed up the opportunity or if the Power beat them to it.
When they have statuesque English internationals playing for them who I am sure have never heard of Aussie Rules before I can easily see past the colour teal.
Sounds like you were in the same area as me on the weekend, in Cooper's Corner. It would be gold if they could get a decent size screen there you'r right!

RL I think that is a fox sports decision.
I am devastated. The girls gave everything they had but just could not bridge the gap.
It was great season, and I must say I shed a tear knowing that this is the last time I will see them doing their recovery sessions at Henly Beach.
Hope we can keep most the team together for next year, especially Geva Mentor and Mo'onia Gerrard.
The only change I would like to see next season is a change of sponsorship.

Yep my mates recently moved to Wellington and is getting quite annoyed I keep forgetting the 2 and a half hour time difference
We should start a petition to keep Geva. From what I have been hearing she is more likely to go than stay.
She would have to be the hottest bird out there and is an absolute gun in defence.
It was disappointing to lose to the Magic (which was pretty much the NZ national team after all) but it at least saved me from having to make a very difficult decision next Monday night. After the bagging I copped on my "8000 tickets" thread tho I will not be revealing what that would have involved.
Agree Monday nites is a bad time but I think it is because Fox has to fit all their sports in somewhere. I reckon the netball might get a bit more priority next year after a hugely successful debut season for the new league.
Would love to see a gorgeous Jamaican goalshooter join the T-Birds next year ... don't really care if she is any good or not

This is indeed some quite disturbing news Bosley. Where do we sign? Do we need to raise some money to get her to stay? Or is she missing her boyfriend? I think she needs a local lad to look after her. I would gladly volunteer my services for the good of team.
I believe there is going to be pressure on the English players to play in their home country's "Super League" next year if they want to be selected in the national team.
If Mo'onia could put on a faux hot English accent it would almost split the difference.
