Bigfooty.com - so much sport, so little time.

One month on, and I still think it pretty much sums up the site.

It has my ringing endorsement. :)

Forms are still being filled out - blame slackness of a certain party (hurry up Adrian). About half a dozen designs have been created.

Eddie fans will probably not be amused with one of them :)

Elliott fans will probably not be amused with another...

One of the stalling issues is that I have no longer got a high-res version of the BigFooty logo.

SO if any designers out there feel like recreating it in 300 DPI, at least 20cm across please let me know.

I don't like any of them, either-- but I'll e-mail Adrian and give him my suggestion as to what to put on our t-shirts.

I still think happy_in_hell's suggestion would be perfect for a general shirt.

Cheers,
William

I like The Eddie Show one myself - so I'll be buying at least one ;)

These designs are just the start. More designs will go up over time so hopefully we will have one for most tastes by the start of next season.

E-mail Adrian with your ideas and post them here as well. We hope to turn out another nine designs within a month.

Adrian is also working on a new site for more general designs. We'll link to that one when it is ready.

Thanks you_idiot, but as i have observed, all the t-shirts have a small logo/wods on the front of the t-shirt, presumably to cut costs, etc. So i think my idea, although tops, is sadly too hard:(

Not necessarily. I'll e-mail Adrian, as I said, and see if it's do-able.

I haven't lost hope. :D

OK here we go.

The first batch is now available
The problem is that some of these designs have a very limited shelf life. The Carey saga will be over before long and that shirt becomes outdated. If Carlton does us all a favour and topples Jack Elliott, that one's gone too.

I may, however, go for an Eddie Show shirt. Eddie never goes out of fashion

T-Shirts

Click 'about this t-shirt' on the details page to see a description of the quality of shirt. I have talked to people who have bought them and they are good quality, pre-shrunk, double stitched and so on.

Here are the details:
(*NB I've put this info in the side-bar on the t-shirts page now)

Sizes

T-shirts are available in a number of sizes, as defined below.

Small (S): 86-91 cm or 34-36"
Medium (M): 96-101 cm or 38-40"
Large (L): 107-112 cm or 42-44"
Extra Large (XL): 117-122 cm or 46-48"
Extra Extra Large (XXL): 127-132 cm or 50-52"

Washing instructions

For the best results when washing your t-shirt, please follow these guidelines:

Wait one week (if possible) before washing your t-shirt for the first time.
Turn the t-shirt inside out before washing.
Wash by hand in warm water (if possible), or otherwise by machine at up to 40 degrees Celsius.
Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
If you use a tumble dryer, dry at low temperature, with the t-shirt still turned inside out.
Iron with a hot iron after washing to enhance colours. However you must cover the image with a piece of clean white paper first. Do not touch the image directly with a hot iron.

Colour

All t-shirts are white. As much as we'd like to offer a choice, the printing process we use to make your t-shirt simply won't work as well on coloured shirts.

Image and text

We endeavour to show the image and text to scale and in the correct position on a medium (M) size t-shirt.

Quality

Our shirts are high quality cotton t-shirts. We choose to supply Hanes Beefy-T® t-shirts, American classics renowned for their quality and cut. Made from 6.1 oz 100% cotton ring-spun yarn, all t-shirts are pre-shrunk and have a normal round t-shirt collar and vertical seams at the shoulders. Features include double-needle coverseamed neck, shoulder-to-shoulder tape, double-needle sleeve and bottom hems. The stitching is of the highest quality.

Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production (WRAP)

The majority of Hanes t-shirts are produced in self-owned plants which are WRAP-certified. WRAP is an independent non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion and certification of lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing throughout the world. The program is a factory-based certification process, so each facility is certified individually. Facilities that participate in the program voluntarily agree that an independent monitor will evaluate the facility for compliance with agreed principles. WRAP will only issue certifications to qualified facilities, and the certification is granted for a period of only one year at a time. For more information about WRAP, see www.wrapapparel.org .

Maximum size of design is 28.5 x 20cm. This can be horizontal or vertical and is only on the front.

If the shirts are successful it is quite possible other styles and colours will become available, but we'd have to move production in-house for that to happen I believe. But that probably won't happen for a long while, if ever.

I'm getting a friend of mine to do one, but if you'd like to have a crack at it then be our guest. I can do some nice web design but something like this is out of my area - I'd rather have it done perfectly than do only a half-decent job myself.

Resolution needs to be at least 300dpi, 30cm wide or as a vector graphic to enable resizing. EPS, PSD etc are usable.

Send it to me or Bluey if you decide you want to have a go.

If you have somebody working on it already, then go ahead with it. I'm not entirely sure I know how to create the shadows within the graphic, actually, anyway.
