2 overs ... 0/18.

last match: 3 overs, 0/27

Useless bowler.

His career will be over soon unless he gives away the bowling and concentrates on his batting.
Yep, he also has put on a few kg's by the looks of it.

His bowling is very average, he doesnt have control over what he does, first balls good than a half tracker.

Australia would be better off bowling Clarke.

over soon? wtf do you have bad memory or what? he just made 45 off 36 odd balls and you have a go at him.. i agree his bowling is shocking, but he will make the side on his hitting and fielding alone...

He is in the side primarily for his batting, if the experienced All rounders didnt get smashed he wouldnt have to be bowled much

But if Cameron White is going to play he will need to bowl a few overs each game. Either that or Symonds has to bowl 10 overs, and he isnt good enough to do that either. It is a worry for us coming up to the world cup.

Or Clarke who did well the other night

yeh sure he can bowl a few overs, but white isnt a 10 over bowler, we have hussey, clarke, symo, white and even maybe punter to share 10-15 overs we can handle that easily

No, I don;t have a short memory. just think about it. There are plenty of players who can make 45 and bowl garbage. White's efforts so far have not been outstanding.

If he wants to cement a place in the team he has to become a better batsman and force the selectors to bat him at 4 or 5. He can really only do that if he declares himself a batsman only and bats full time at 4 for Victoria.

As it is at the moment, he only needs a couple of low scores with the bat, and there will be plenty of players lining up to take his spot.

Australias problem is they are picking Clark ahead of Hogg, most teams play 1 pure spinner and 2-3 part timers as it helps keep the runs down yet Australia is relying on part timers for all their spin needs and thats where it is falling down

Yes I know they are winning but the selection issue is not Hogg v White its Hogg v the 4th pace bowler

No you are one of the anti Victorians, I know many of them, they live here but hate the Victorian cricket team and its players

I think Hodge gives all Victorians a bad name, worst bloke in cricket. As long as Hodge is playing i will always associate Victorian cricket with him.

Any way we can turn him into a medium pacer? There's no point him bowling spin if he doesn't actually spin the ********ing thing.
I'd prefer too that he spun it but he uses other aspects of his bowling; variation in spin, bounce, pace, flight and also bowling the occassional wrongun (the wicket) and top spinner

I can honestly see a place for him in the one day side at present and believe his lusty hitting is a good thing to have along with Roy in the lower middle order. He is a batsman who can bowl a bit so all this talk of him replacing warne or becoming our number one spinner in the test team is premature at present and unlikely. He may be another Bevan, in that his international career will be mostly played out in one day cricket matches.

Maybe so but he bowled poo in these first two ODIs.

Looked very hittable.

Look at Vettori. He's a bloody good bowler but doesn't spin it much. His subtle variations are very hard to pick up. If White can disguise his variations well then he can be a useful bowler.
