But no seriously, until Watson gets back from injury there isn't anyone who can replace White in the side so there's no point talking about dropping him.

Any batsman who bowls a bit could play the same role, North and Voges being the obvious candidates

Harvey was an excellent One Day bowler.

On the basis of that one innings he was a batsmen who might be given the ball once on a while .

Now that his batting form has dried up , it reads like he's back to being an allrounder who just doesnt get given a chance with the ball .

Does that mean he is back to replacing Watson in the ODI side or is he still replacing Martyn as a batsmen .

I dont see why Hogg cant just take Whites position, the guy has very similar batting stats and can bowl 100x beter. Would mean Symonds wouldnt have to bowl his poo offies, stick to the mediums Roy.

Because Australian aint going to play 5 pure bowlers as their best team during the world cup so why now?

I can accept that, so would that mean White is a pure bat? Hasnt bowled any more than 4 overs in a match, so North or Voges would be beter than White at the moment.

No it means he is there as a lower order hitter who can combine with Symonds for 10 overs

They are not going to play 5 pure bowlers + Symonds for more than a one off here and there

Is a young player, who has batted brilliantly in two games. Shock! Horror! He will not get it right every game.

Should be given every opportunity. If he is good enough he will float. Otherwise someone else will get a shot. Pretty simple.

Hey dont get me wrong i think White did deserve his spot in the team, its just he wont be the most consistant batter but i thought he would be bowling more. If White isnt bowling 5 overs or so a match then he shouldnt be in the side on his batting alone at the moment.

Voges has scored 298 runs from 7 domestic OD innings this season, White has scored 314 from 7 also. Why White got the gig is that he can bowl, so why isnt he?

So White has scored more runs, whats your argument for Voges again? As I said White probably helped his case by that big hundred against NSW, Voges hasnt passed 100 since that hundred against the Blues which I think was his debut game? Big scores get more notice than a few mid range scores

voges isnt really the 100 type player he bats at 5/6 so a tad low for a 100 but always gets 50s

Voges has passed 50 twice this year, White 3 times, now with only 1 not out its obvious Voges isnt failing to score big because he is too low otherwise he would be like Hussey and have a few more not outs, his strike rate is also alot lower than White. Not alot to support him on this seasons stats

We've seen Ponting, Hussey, Clarke, Symonds etc more than enough so lets give WHite a go up the order

Hogg will only ever play at the expense of one of the quicks. Not at 7 instead of White. But Punter's clearly keen to play 4 quicks just about every game, so Hogg's looking more and more out of the picture.

White can cement his spot with the bat alone, we've already got 4 quicks every match plus Symonds, so he'll just never be needed for 10 overs - on a turning wicket he'll get thrown the ball occasionally but it's not gonna save his spot. Just needs to make some decent runs now.

never bagged white bentleigh, the fact he has made 7 and 8 with a good ball and a stupid shot sums up why a change may be nice, gotta keep him hungry..
