I havent written anything that isnt a possible outcome, and reading the Adelaide media all the time you start to get a sense that both Roo and Fagan are hard nosed businessman and with Roo he has a lot of mongrel in him and hates to lose, so to say Im confident that he will play it hard is an understatement.

PS do you have a problem with social media especially on anonymous websites?
no not all
but your club does with its protected species thread
and if you believe the media you are a fool

robbo still believes that hird knows nothing and did nothing wrong

Oh yes sorry I forgot you and I follow a corrupt league that can do as they please so realistically we are all watching something that can be manipulated and changed at someones will. You are kidding me arent you? Who would be interested in the sport if that was the case, unless you were a total dimwit. Which I am hoping I am not.
lol, and lol
the afl do as they please

case 1 - they tried to hide the Essendon saga rather than face up to it
case 2 - how much over the salary cap were the swans when they lost their living away from home allowance
case 3 - how bad was buddy's hammy when he was injured for 6-8 weeks
case 4 - why wasn't the drug loophole closed
case 5 - why were the lions not punished for being over the salary cap
case 6 - how did the eagles not have a positive test when their was a culture issue over there

- look at fifa as the example - sport is corrupt

Rules are rules, but the afl abides by no rules as its not a democracy

you forfeited a game yet got 2 points - hmm that was not in the rules

AFL does as it pleases, wake up and smell the roses.
Rule 1: The afl is a law unto themselves. Example: Melbourne being found not guilty of taking yet fined regardless :p

I've said all along my gut feel is no match will be made if he decides to come here.

No I dont believe media totally but it does have relevance, some of whta they write comes true some doesnt. I also dont believe the AFL is corrupt like yourself or why would I even bother following it, if I knew my team may never win a premiership depending what corruption is taking place. Youre an interesting cat, someone that follows a league yet thinks it corrupt and may change the comp at its will.

I dont believe the AFL are corrupt at all, but then thats why I follow them, if I thought they were I wouldnt follow the league as it would be pointless but you must enjoy following competitions that have no relevance because they are corrupt.

Issues arise the AFL deal with them in the most fair and reasonable manner they see fit, I am happy with that.

Dangerfield's going back to Victoria and Adelaide will get what everyone else gets for a free agent, a draft pick.

It wasn't fair when Ablett went to Gold Coast and it hasn't changed.

Even Essendon were forced to trade Ryder once he decided where he wanted to go.

The reason the AFL doesn't want clubs to oppose people moving home too strongly is because it upsets the AFLPA who want people to be allowed to live where they'd like to rather than where their job dictates.

I imagine if AFC play hardball (which means upsetting the playing group by paying overs for somebody who doesn't want to be there, plus upsets the player themselves), they will find it harder to re-sign interstate players in the future as well.

Geelong will simply move onto the next free agent from Victoria. AFC have too much to lose, Geelong aren't going to back down and agree to a trade, they have no reason to.

So you obviously believe that Crows will match, then what trade do you think you're going to be getting?

Ideally it would be great to get the compo pick then trade a lower pick or player for someone like Motlop as we both would win somewhat, but as that could be seen to be cheating your number one pick and a player 25 years or less in say the 7-12 ranked in the club. Issues are that player wanting to leave so may need to get a motlop as he appears happy to jump ship. With losing PD we could easily meet his salary expectations.

that is lala land
a. we don't need to be fair
b. we are about building our club
c. when dangers comes to geelong he wants it as strong as possible and not weak, and the crows are the opposition

and I am glad 99.95% of your posts are on the geelong board, you must be a closet hawthorn supporter

What is it with you, you do understand its ASADA and WADA that effectively punish drug takers. That is their job not the AFL's cant see it being covered up considering the AFL's cooperation in supplying ASADA infornmation in which Essendon tried to get thrown out through the courts.

Thsi is well off topic by the way.

Motlop isn't going to Adelaide and you aren't getting any of our players via PD being a free agent... drop the charade.

seriously we refuse to trade, pd wants out and goes into draft, that is a poor example for your club and the respect it shows its players
we are geelong

Im sure the players will be happy if Roo and Fagan to be their usual self play hard ball and manage to get a 1st round draft pick and a quality player instead of just a 1st rounder to assist them in being a stronger team.

PD will not want to go in the PSD and I would question you suggesting he would even consider that.

No Charade, its the rules that are available to the AFC which I have no doubt Roo will take seriously! Maybe not Motlop but the player leaving has to agree to it so it must be a player wanting to or being prepared to leave.

Where is Roo known for being a hard nosed business man? Footballer, yes. Businessman are you joking?

Andrew Fagan is no more hard nosed than any other CEO in the AFL. I don't see where he has some great CV of being hard nosed.

I take it you think Colin Carter (which his business resume that would be arguably second to none in the AFL) and Brian Cook (which a great sporting CV) are not tough at all?
