Yes he does become a FA at the end of his next contract which has to be 2 years so you are half correct
I admire your persistent theme Marty. That said, Adelaide won't match. They'll huff and puff. And then they'll take pick 12 compo. Cos ultimately Roo is a flat track bully, but deep down he's a little Bitch. He'll talk it up but won't follow through. As I said, Enjoy pick 12.

Well looks like you will have to wait for him to become a FA so another 2 years
You do realise you are arguing that the crows will match based on your gut feel... and we are arguing they won't based on our gut feel...

Yet you refuse to consider the possibility that you won't match..

At the end of the day a hell of a lot of water has to go under the bridge, firstly he has to not sign with the crows all year, then he has to declare he wants to explore his free agency options, then we lodge an offer and then we see if the Crows match and only then do we have to worry about what needs to happen in a trade situation.. because if the crows DON'T match we get him as a FA

Also if all that transpires then your notifications will melt down with every poster you have stubbornly argued with tagging you into this thread to point out you didn't match.

Well if true, yet another quality player to turn down Geelong.

But, I'm highly suspicious, considering he's questioned the club on their coaching selection, and held off waiting for direction change.

They still don't have an answer on either, due to the terrible circumstances, so I'm suspicious on such rumour.

I have no issue in a player turning us down to stay at his original club.... but I'd filthy right up if we are beaten for someone by the Pies or Hawks

Ah well, I was hoping he'd come but IMO the tragic death of Phil Walsh has pushed him towards re-committing to Adelaide. Can't blame him, can't get angry, just have to accept it and move on and more importantly sign up Motlop asap.

I also think our recent signings, as quick as they have all come, was a sign that we've obviously been told what Danger is doing.

Who can we target now? Should be sniffing around GWS, have a ridiculous amount of mids.

Keep in mind the high probability that this story on 5AA came from BigFooty...

Im sitting on the fence until the truth comes out.

All is not lost yet, hell I know if he signed at Geelong the ink would be still wet and and we would be announcing it.

lets say that have the money available to chase a Treloar.... getting him here would cost a lot more in trade cost. Our R1 and a player for sure. Perhaps a player like Motlop. The huge advantage of the FA is to get without having to give. Depending on where we finish , it would be interesting to assess what would be the best approach trade our pay overs and get him to nominate PSD.

But lets wait and see. I doubt too many at Geelong will hold any grudges for him showing loyalty under the circumstances, but just like the cancelled game .. that doesn't help us match in a competitive sense.

it could also be afc using the media to force the issue

a. if he had not made up his mind, then he would want to see the new coach before deciding
b. in adelaide if this was true the rumour would be everywhere
c. is this a balme 2 weeks
d. his mum expects him home for dinner after every home game

If this danger rumour is true I will be shattered. Yet other player lost to unforeseen circumstances That gfc can not Control. Just more bad luck for gfc I am so over getting my hopes up only to be cut right back down. However I do not blame danger for staying I am just fustrated That we have not landed a big fish yet.

You don't seem as certain of Danger moving to Geelong in this post as you have in others.

Has there been a change?
