They do seem pretty damn confident he is staying on the Crows board. Would be pretty average losing Motlop and not gaining Dangerfield.
It'd be a repeat of the Frawley/Christensen situation last year. Not a good sign, especially given Scott's grand strategy is to throw away development of future prospects for the sake of finding short-term solutions via free agency and trading. That can work for teams if you can get the players into the club. Kind of falls apart if no one wants to. Seems there's a bit of a trend emerging.

Motlop situation will be ok
We will get another mid, and have prepared for it

He also has currency, and teams want him

Find the Adelaide bloke hard to believe, claims he was at a dinner party last night and heard the news, yet looking at his posts was on bigfooty all night and watching cricket
And he posted the big news after numerous posts
If you had that news you would either go early, ie your first post, or you would protect your source

That started 4 years ago mate. Get a grip.
Who were the players sent packing for draft picks? Not even close to rebuilding. Macintosh, Stanley, blease, Clark, even Delaney. That smells of trying to keep up with the pack to me. No need to get a grip here either. Very aware of where we sit and and am very optimistic of our clubs prospects if they can snag Danger. Lots of players will benefit greatly if he arrives. None more so than our captain. Just not sure how we can't counter the top teams and the emerging new teams if he doesn't come. In the short term that is.

You're placing far too much importance in one player mate.

My biggest doubt over alex_is_on_fire's mail is that I find it hard to believe that PD would be making any firm decisions at this time. Wise heads around him would be saying "take your time, there's no rush, you have a lot on your mind." Moreover, would he really commit not knowing who the coach is going to be from here? Seems a strange time to make the call to me.

As I said though, if by chance he has made up his mind to stay, I expect he will want to clear the air very quickly.
I think it's obvious Danger absolutely loves the Crows, and wants to play for us.
I think it's also obvious that he misses home, and his partner especially misses it.

I believe he was gone under Sando/Trigg, but with all of the changes we've made, he now wants to stay.

I genuinely believe he's conflicted and doesn't know which way to go; obviously I hope to Christ he stays.

The turd is threatening to post crap on our board, that is how mature he is
Read the Adelaide board
Cat I would love to reply on their board but the communists don't allow it
Here's a thought.... just stop reading their board? Then it won't cause you to get sand in such an uncomfortable place

Well they are very excited over there. Oh well, where's the Scott Selwood thread...
Good for them. They're going to be doubly fcuked off if he still decides to leave. I personally don't think that the Phil Walsh tragedy changes whatever decision he'll make. I don't know whether these rumours of him about to re-sign have any credible foundation, but I'm choosing to remain sceptical. One thing that I am certain about is that neither Adelaide, nor Patrick himself would wish to delay any announcement once the pen met the dotted lines of the paper.
