The turd is threatening to post crap on our board, that is how mature he is
Read the Adelaide board
Cat I would love to reply on their board but the communists don't allow it
When in recent years we have lost so many players and have a running battle with power supporters (before Walsh) would be the main reason it is a crows only thread, to stop trolling. Plus I don't think its overly respectful to be commenting on players contracts on the players teams board in a negative way. Its always going to lead to fights. We have other open threads involving Dangerfield that you can comment on.

You'd be better off if your mods just hammered them for trolling.

I think its a common perception on all boards about other teams mods are tougher then their own. I think they do get done for trolling but not before a storm has been created first.
Then so be it, imagine how much clearer the thought would be with so many trolls red carded?

I just think closing the thread to yourselves is asking for it in other ways.

I think it's obvious Danger absolutely loves the Crows, and wants to play for us.
I think it's also obvious that he misses home, and his partner especially misses it.

I believe he was gone under Sando/Trigg, but with all of the changes we've made, he now wants to stay.

I genuinely believe he's conflicted and doesn't know which way to go; obviously I hope to Christ he stays.
Agree with a lot of that. I don't doubt he loves the Crows and that will be true even if he decides to leave. My broader point was that now would be a strange time to decide to stay.

Separately, as with last week's rumour, not only can we expect the club and PD to want a quick announcement (if true), we can also expect respectable media people to catch wind of this quickly and to run with it. Didn't happen last week and hasn't happened (yet) with this one. The next 24 hours will be interesting.

He may have signed with Adelaide but Geelong certainly don't think that is the case. It's unlikely though.

It's funny that it comes up on BF, then goes to 5AA and then on to Triple M Adelaide then to Triple M Melbourne. Yet none of the mainstream media are running with it. You don't think that the mainstream media would ring Connors and ask for an off the record comment? The media and managers use each other all the time. It's not happening . I also doubt that the AFL wouldn't have leaks if he had signed and it was submitted to the AFL for approval.

If Dangerfield re-signs they will have puff pieces etc before hand about solidarity etc. None of it is happening.

I believe that he is towing the public line that he hasn't decided to stop the credible sources/details going public. However, both Geelong and Adelaide know what is happening and that is that he is gone. Its no coincidence Adelaide have been throwing huge money around i.e. $1m a year to Jeremy Cameron. Adelaide are operating as if he gone and Geelong are operating as if he is coming.

I still don't see how Adelaide fans think he can sign if he hasn't been presented with a contract by Adelaide. He also isn't going to sign a two year deal due to the way he plays. I suspect the two year deal thing is more of a threat i.e. I'll sign a two year deal on huge money with Geelong so it makes it hard for Adelaide to match. I think some wires have just been crossed. Also another possibility is if you were Connors and you wanted to see how far Adelaide would go, would you propose a two year deal on say $1.25m and see if Adelaide think that is okay? If they are happy for $1.25m, you know they have that much cap space free. The rumour at one stage was $1.25m for first two years and then dropping down for years three to five. Like most rumours though, I don't know.

Geelong believe he is committed and everything is going on as if he is leaving.

I understand your comments. But we have Adelaide posters coming on this board and abusing posters with no action. The suck up to the mods, and then play big tough guys on the home board. Threatening to do this and that. If you believe you have the right to post here, you should also believe the right exists for others to post on your board. Red cards should be posted for inappropriate comments.

I would ask how long I would last on your communist board if I called you a muppet. Barely 2 minutes.

Enough said

Which is why you'd think there's no change. Why have so much conjecture and angst if he's signed or has made his decision.
Yeah every one of his actions can be read 2 ways. Yes he has been emotional the past 2 weeks, but is that due to the fact he is around his brothers during a tough time in which he will stay for the fight, or is it because he knows he is leaving and cherishing the last few moments he has with close friends. Everything is up to interpretation depending on agenda.

could be that Adelaide are trying to force his hand to see where he is at
ie they believe he is gone, and are testing the waters and using the emotion of the moment to try and pry him away

good kid, who wants to start a family in geelong

1. He is a Crow. Pry 'Away' is probably not the right choice of words.
2. There is no way the AFC would use the current emotional situation as a means to put pressure on players to stay.

Agree 100% on this. The last thing the Crows hierarchy would be doing at the moment is trying to strong-arm a decision from him. That's just an insane prospect.

Your boards "Crows only thread" idea is pathetic mate. Plain and simple. Harden up!
