Mahlepi - can't work out if you more excited about potentially acquiring Dangerfield, or more excited about gloating over the anxiety of the Crows board
Or could it be he is happy that Adelaide fans aren't abusing him at the moment behind the shroud of protection??? The arrogance is mostly gone from Crows fans. I'm pretty sure he is convinced Dangerfield is coming (and has been steadfast in that) so there isn't much added excitement there.

You guys are making fools of yourselfs. This idea that he signed up and the club was waiting until they played geelong to make it public, but has to now wait because it would be disrespectful to full walsh is delusion at its best.

The best thing the club could do is say publicly he has resigned and move on.the speculation about dangerfield is at an extreme lelvel as it is but will only get worse as the season goes on.

The longer the season goes on without dangerfield signing the more likely he is to leave adelaide.

And he may just make fools of all of us and sign with someone else.

Mate did you read the garbage of your insular board
The remarks and personal attacks that I can't respond to
I have a forum available to all

I was excited about danger months ago
I am also taking great delight in the flogs who spend days abusing me, waiting for the announcement to be wrong wrong wrong

You are one of the better posters but some of your inferior supporters are scum

He might .I would say unlikely .he grew up a fanatical geelong supporter, has family living in mogs creek , has connection with geelong footy club and we are in a position to offer him as much money as anyone.

Mate I'm not sure why you're reading their board. I'm confident so there's no need to head over and listen to what they have to say... I trust my source.

I suggest you do the same before you eventually do something you'll regret.

There are at most 47 days to the last game on Round 23 - 6 September 2015. He needs to survive that long. When he gets home, he can ignore the media for a while as he won't be doing press conferences or at training etc.

It's not that long really. He will continue to ask for more time and before you know it, it will be close to the end of the season. I suspect the biggest problem will be round 23 when they come to Geelong but I wouldn't be surprised if for everyone's sake, he doesn't play due to injury as its looking more like both teams won't make finals.

I'd have my furniture and belongs moved by then if I were him. Adelaide will explode even if he plays a bad game or looks at a Geelong player the wrong way.

I'm making a fool of myself? I've never stated anything in regards to his decision. I hope he stays. I have no idea if he will or not. The rest of your post is entirely redundant because I already know all of that

mate - all boards have their flogs - You haven't done yourself any favours by constantly referring to Adelaide as a feeder club - You've been asking for it. I'm not condoning the stuff that's been said about you - But this is the internet, and it seems it's how people seem to use it. You should just stay the course regarding your mail about Danger and ignore the Adelaide board.

and while you guys went through the same stuff with Ablett, atleast you got two first round picks for him (after drafting him with a 3rd round pick?) Crows looking likely to get dicked with a compo less than the pick 10 we paid for him originally...

Mate I trust my sources as all the info I have received has been on the money
The defamation on the crows board gives me a laugh, I won't do anything I regret, as I will be an active poster in 7 weeks.

As I have said

Costa's boy is coming home

Yep, that's true. But, Gary wasn't the best junior player. He left Geelong as the best player in the competition by a long way.

There's a difference.

The f club comments are made as too many flogs come on here make comments and then behave like politicians on the afc thread that is locked. You have been level headed here and on the crows board, but some of the comments made on the crows board under the protection of a skirt are feral.

Guys can we be civil to any opposition supporters who do comment in the thread. Treat their posts on merit and don't lump everyone in with what is being said on other boards. To disparage posters with comments like "oh well on your board they said such and such we will tar you with the same brush" makes us look like we can't handle view points that don't match our own. If everyone agreed on everything there would be no need for Bigfooty let's treat posters on what they say here and not judge them on what others have said.

Damian Barrett on the rush hour just now, when asked his thoughts by JB on the perceived shift in Geelong's "quiet confidence" all year over the past few days/weeks basically said there hasn't been much change in that confidence at the higher levels, everyone who his speaking to still thinks he'll be a Geelong player next year. The Phil Walsh tragedy might have caused a slight rethink but no significant change that his heard of. Also said that Danger has left himself some wriggle room but his understanding is he'll be at Geelong next year, although other clubs obviously have inquired too.

Stressed that it was just his thoughts based on conversations he'd had, not breaking a story or anything (duh, it's what most of us have known all year!). Also said that since FA only one example of a player who had been unsigned this long and then recommitted to the club, Travis Cloke.

So to sum up, he reckons no change from the start of the year.

Forget that you support geelong and step back abd look at the facts.

PD would know that they're a finals chance. And that all this conjecture traditionally hasn't been good for a sides fighting it out for a finals spot. He's also be more than aware that given the tragedy they've lived through , him resigning would be a massive boost to a group of people he loves.

And honestly does anyone really believe he hasn't thought about this decision? Sorry but he's known for 2 years this was coming. And the Crows have been trying to extend his contract for the best part of 2 years. Those that know paddy will tell you he's a VERY switched on kid, just like his dad john. They're savvy men. He knows exactly what he's doing.

The reality is that he legally can not come out and say anything except -

1. I'm staying
Or
2 I haven't decided anything else gets him de registered as an afl player.

Finally. For those wondering about a hawthorn or pies swoop.

His family are super tight. Mum works for frank costa. Anyone who thinks he wants to drive from Waverley to Moggs regularly is dreaming. That takes almost as long as flying Adelaide to Avalon and driving to Moggs.

Add in the people who actually know the family who are coming out saying " he's coming home"

I promise you guys - it's a done deal.

On other list changes I'm "informed on"

Motlop is gone.
S Selwood is a done deal - and if they can get danger as aFA as opposed to a trade - then Henderson will come. The only fear is if we have to tease it'll take motlop and a first rounder .
Im not questioning what your saying , just the confidence that "its done".. how can anyone sign up to getting it done before we know what it takes to get a deal done? Absolute huge difference in getting PD as a FA and trade. To trade Motlop and our R1 and pay top dollar would seem out of balance to my mind. He is FA age , not Treloar age. He has played 145 games , does anyone see him playing 300? If not ..he is closer to the finish than the start.

No. What you imagine and read in the papers is completely different to the everyday reality an AFL player lives. I could go into detail about the fact that non ones gonna sign unless they know who the coach is, or that certain personalities within a list don't always see eye to eye. Or that it's documented and known by most in the industry that PD and campo suffer each other at best.

Also, what posters like you forget is that players are all too aware of what a business it is. If you're in doubt about that - re wath last nights 360 and take in goddards comments - clubs preach loyalty but as soon as you're no value to them they cut you off at the knees. -

Adelaide will delist 4 or 5 players this year. They won't keep them on the list because of the tragedy. Paddy knows it's a business and he knows coming to geelong now makes him a geelong legend for life. The hero coming home to save the club.

And imagine if - with a Selwood, another preseason into Duncan caddy and blicavs, a fit j Selwood and danger - we get a good year out of Clark, Hawkins, Stanley Taylor and lonergan. Well just about win a flag. That's a huge carrot.
I know we traded two R1s to get Otten's but we had played in a PF as a young side.. but i don't think its as clear that "we will just about win the flag".
Do you mean in 2016? Too many pieces to the puzzle missing especially we trade for PD.

The whole thing risks falling apart if a guy like Joel falls over, he has been so steadfast till now but 200 games up...would it surprise anyone if he starts to get a little injury affected from now on? Clark? Im starting to think we will be lucky o see him again. Hawkins is what he is but we really lack a quality medium forward to help him...and Hawk has his injury issues as well.

Do we have enough depth? I think you can almost judge the quality of the side by the players that miss and are on the cusp. Right now our best mid in the VFL is GHS.( I know what you think of him). Smedts..who knows. Cockatoo could be anything but he may be a hit and miss type as well. We really cant afford to trade away access to top end youth imo, we need another 2 min. GWS is on the way to being a Frankenstein so I can understand their urgency is all about now but I am not sure we have enough to be any more than a chance..a better chance but just a chance. To have a rock solid chance you need to be able to win most weeks with players below their best. Not sure we can do that.

No issue with chasing PD as a FA on big dollars. No issue with trading for him. But not both , it just limits you cap wise and talent wise.
